Fit was perfect with no modifications. Performance is awesome it really helped open to open up the power on my CRF 250x along with a JD jet kit and air box modification.

Slip on, but the factory clamp does NOT work. I used a hose clamp and it worked. Good sound, and added power.
4#s lighter than stock and looks Great on the bike.
I put the pipe on my 2018 WR250R about a month ago, really easy to install, It bolted right up , the bike has more power than it had with stock pipe , Well worth the investment
I put this on my 2000 xr650l in June 2018. 6 months and 3000 miles later I am very pleased with this unit! I left the stock header pipe and added the Q4. The difference in the sound compared to the stock muffler is big! I love the way my xr
literally barks now! Not as quiet as advertised. Doesn't bother me.
I did bash it on a rock one day when I crashed on some single track trails. It's pretty tough so I can attest it's pretty sturdy. Just a scratch.
Buy it for your xr!!
Bought the fmf q4 for a 2014 wr250r. Wakes the bike up nicely!
The price was a bit crazy in my opinion $350 but other than that I have put around 500 miles on the fmf q4 so far on my 1998 klr 650 and I love the look of it, the sound is just right and it feels like the bike has a bit more power too! I'm glad I got the fmf q4 muffler.
Pipe fit great with no issues. Sounds great. Louder Han stock but not too loud. Also install the FMF joe-jet kit so not running lean

Question:Q: I need a quiet insert but I can't find the part, I bought a bike with a Q4 on it but it's way too loud as the spark arrestor insert has been removed, I've got neighbours throwing bricks at me to shut me up, please help!Question asked Over 10 months ago
Question answered by JamesGearheadUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered Over 10 months agoAnswer: A: FMF HEX Q4 Quiet Core Spark Arrestor Insert (part number 040671) is a replacement that will most likely help you out the most. That should really quiet up the motorcycle, and make the angry brick throwing neighbors chill out!

Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: MotoSport Staff ExpertQuestion answered Over 3 years agoAnswer: A: Just be sure to correctly select the Year/Make/Model of your bike before ordering so we can be sure to send you the correct muffler for your bike. Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.
