ATS-1R Ranger Helmet

• Product Details

Completely re-engineered, the ATS-1R climbs to a whole new level of safety performance. Advanced ODS brings even greater energy mitigation performance to the system while also contributing to a lighter overall weight. Originally developed within 6D's award winning work during the NFL's Head Health Challenge III competition, advanced ODS offers significant improvements in both linear and angular acceleration mitigation performance. The ATS-1R provide unsurpassed security to riders and racers world-wide.

  • New Features:
  • Advanced OMNI-DIRECTIONAL SUSPENSION (ODS) System - improved impact management system heavily influenced by ATR-2 MX Helmet.
  • 200 grams (1560-gram size medium) lighter than previous ATS-1 model.
  • New shield base plates, improve shield feel and sealing.
  • Improved fit, larger shell opening, new cheek pad shape.
  • New chin curtain and neck cuff.
  • Multiple pad options for customizable fit.
  • Shield:
  • Anti-scratch shield (Certified VESC-8).
  • 10-position shield adjustment with lockdown lever.
  • Tool-less shield changing.
  • UV protection.
  • Clear Pinlock 120 anti-fog insert included.
  • 3K Carbon Fiber Shell.
  • Aerodynamic Wing: Advanced CAD design maximizes aerodynamic efficiency reducing drag, buffeting, and lift at higher speeds.
  • Internal Breath Guard: Directs fresh air up the inside of the shield, while exhausting breath down and out to reduce fogging.
  • ODS AIR-GAP Ventilation System: Four adjustable intake ports channel fresh air into the helmet where it is managed by a network of 15 transfer ports and five exhaust ports to keep the air moving.
  • Air Intakes: Sculpted adjustable intakes direct air into the chin, brow, and crown regions of the helmet and are easily operated with gloves on.
  • Exhaust Vents: Optimally positioned top, side, and rear exhaust vents take advantage of the negative-pressure effects of air traveling over the helmet's surface to aid internal air circulation.
  • Internal Brow Vents: Pulls air across the inside of the shields' surface to aid cooling and fogging dissipation.
  • Removable Neck Cuff and Chin Curtain.
  • Integrated Speaker Pockets.
  • Eyewear Compatible.
  • Deluxe Helmet Bag Included.
  • Certified: Exceeds US DOT FMVSS 218 (United States), ECE 22.05 (47 countries world-wide), and ACU (United Kingdom) standards.

The Dynamics of 6D's ODS Energy Management Technology:

6D's patented Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology is a fully active, in-helmet suspension and kinetic energy management system. Engineered to uncouple the helmet's exterior shell from the inner EPS liner, the system effectively mitigates energy transfer to the head and brain of the rider during any given accident or impact event.

  • Two separate EPS liners separated by an array of elastomeric isolation dampers.
  • Three-dimensional displacement of the inner liner upon impact.
  • Reduces linear and angular acceleration forces to the head and brain.
  • Superior performance for low, medium, and high-velocity impacts.
