The TTR110 uses a foam air filter that's both reusable and easy to service–as long as it remains free of rips or tears.
When to Clean or Replace the Air Filter
- Check the air filter after every few rides, especially if riding in dusty or muddy conditions.
- Clean the filter when it looks dirty or after any particularly dusty ride.
- Replace the filter immediately if you notice rips, holes, or excessive wear. Foam filters are reusable until they start to fall apart or become misshapen.
Tools & Supplies Needed
- 10mm and 8mm socket
- Phillips screwdriver
- Dedicated air filter cleaner or mild soap solution

- Clean, lint-free towels

Removal of the Air Filter
- Park your TTR110 on level ground and ensure it is cool and stable.
- Remove the right-side plastic panel by loosening two bolts with a 10mm socket.
- Locate and remove the air filter cover by taking out the screws with a Phillips screwdriver and/or socket as needed.
- Gently pull out the foam air filter from the airbox. Inspect the filter and the airbox for debris or excessive dirt.
Cleaning the Air Filter
- Rinse the foam filter in a dedicated parts cleaning solvent–avoid gasoline or any low flash point solvent to prevent fire risks and deterioration of the foam. If needed, wash with mild soap and warm water after solvent cleaning.
- Squeeze (do not wring) out any excess residue until the filter is clean. Rinse thoroughly to remove all cleaner and allow the filter to air dry. Do not use heat to accelerate drying–heat can damage foam structure.
Oiling the Air Filter
- Once dry, saturate the filter with foam air filter oil. Place the filter in a sealable plastic bag, pour the oil in, and squeeze to distribute evenly until the entire filter is coated but not dripping.
- Squeeze out excess oil so the filter is damp but not soaked.
Reinstallation
- Clean the inside of the airbox with a towel before installing the filter.
- Insert the oiled filter back into the airbox, ensuring it seats fully around the filter cage for a good seal. Any gaps can allow dirt past the filter.
- Reinstall the air filter cover. Secure all screws and reattach the right panel and seat.
Disposal & Best Practices
- Dispose of used oil and cleaning solutions safely and in accordance with local regulations–never pour down drains or onto the ground.
- Worn or damaged filters must be replaced with compatible parts for the 2024 TTR110.
