The 2018 Beta 350 RR-S transitions to the redesigned chrome-moly steel frame, bringing the street-legal dual-sport four-stroke into the new chassis era. The updated frame geometry improves both on-road stability and off-road agility. The 349cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve single with electronic fuel injection and six-speed gearbox continues as the powerplant, now mounted in new engine positions within the redesigned frame. DOT-compliant lighting, mirrors, horn, and license plate bracket provide street legality. The KYB 48mm fork and Sachs rear shock feature dual-sport tuning for the mixed-surface demands of the RR-S. New frame, same engine, new load paths — every torque specification applies to a fundamentally different chassis structure.

Dry vs. Wet Torque

Oil drain plug: always wet; reduce 15–20% with sealant. All other values assume dry threads.

New Chassis & Highway Vibration

The redesigned frame changes load paths for both off-road impacts and on-road vibration. During the first season on the new chassis, verify engine mount and chassis pivot torque more frequently. Highway use adds sustained high-frequency vibration that the off-road models rarely experience. The new subframe attachment points carry the full street equipment load — verify subframe bolts regularly alongside mirror and lighting hardware.

Thread Locker Application

Medium-strength (blue) thread locker for the 2018 Beta 350 RR-S:

  • Rear sprocket nuts
  • All disc bolts
  • Linkage bolts
  • Subframe bolts
  • Exhaust header bolts
  • Mirror mount bolts
  • License plate bracket hardware

Torque Wrench Selection

A 3/8-inch drive click-type for 20–100 Nm and a 1/4-inch drive for 10–12 Nm hardware. Two drive sizes for the new-chassis 350cc dual-sport.
