2007 Beta 400 RR Dirt Bike Torque Specs

Shop parts for a 2007 Beta 400 RR Dirt Bike.

The 2007 Beta 400 RR continues the 398cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve single with EFI and five-speed gearbox in the steel frame with Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock. As the third year of production, the 2007 model benefits from accumulated manufacturing experience and incremental refinements. The 400 RR provides strong mid-range torque for technical trail riding and competitive enduro — the larger displacement allows riders to maintain momentum through challenging terrain without constantly shifting. Reliable torque application across the engine, drivetrain, and chassis ensures the 400’s proven capability remains intact through years of demanding use.

Dry vs. Wet Torque

Oil drain plug: always wet; reduce 15–20% with sealant. All other values assume dry threads.

Five-Speed Gearbox & Clutch

The 400 RR’s five-speed gearbox means riders use the clutch more frequently than on six-speed models — the wider gear spacing requires more clutch slip to manage the gaps between ratios. This additional clutch loading makes the 75 Nm hub nut specification important to verify after any clutch service. The five-speed’s wider ratio spread also means higher chain loads in lower gears, loading the drivetrain hardware harder than six-speed equivalents in the same terrain.

Thread Locker Recommendations

Medium-strength (blue) thread locker for the 2007 Beta 400 RR:

  • Rear sprocket nuts
  • All disc bolts
  • Linkage bolts
  • Subframe bolts
  • Exhaust header bolts
  • Skid plate bolts

Torque Wrench Selection

A 3/8-inch drive click-type for 20–100 Nm and a 1/4-inch drive for 10–12 Nm hardware. Two drive sizes for the 400cc four-stroke enduro.
