Great product

I bought this to save my ribs and that’s exactly what it did. You can’t beat it for the price. I took a spill the first time I wore this and I fractured my shoulder, tore my rotator cuff, and dislocated my shoulder. The chest protector stood up and I had no broken ribs or road rash. Good bang for the buck

Been on 3 or 4 rides, good fit, easily adjustable, feels beefy but not too heavy or hot

Tried the hard way

I went over the bars off the edge of a 12 foot bank and landed on my head and right shoulder. Broke my helmet, broke the right shoulder of the chest protector, but all I had was a separated color bone. Could have been much worse. I replaced it with another Airframe, because shoulder surgery is expensive.

Great chest protector

I have run multiple trial races w/ out chest protector. This is the first race w/ no bruises on my shoulders or arms. Fit is good and won't ride w/ out it again. Good purchase for the money.

Very Glad I made this purchase

The airframe fits real nice. I'm 5'9" 190 lbs.(I'd like to drop 25 lbs.). It is super light yet offers great protection from roost and branches when trail riding. I ordered the large and I wear it outside my jersey. Fox has earned a well deserved reputation over the years and they have once again brought a quality product to market.

Good Fit and Protection

I'm a slim 6'1" and the size L protector fits me well. I'm going on my 2nd year with it and its still in good shape. No cracked plastic and to tears on the pads/fabric. I bought the white, but wish i would have gotten the black or clear. IMO the white looks pretty ugly in pictures.

Q: One of the videos under the picture shows an all black one, and the other shows a clear, with black. I want to order the all black, how can I do that? The description just lists "Black" along with the size. Not sure which one it's referring to.

A: The black is the black color option, if there was a clear option it would be stated as "clear", you can order the black one in the right size and you will get the one you want.

A: Most riders prefer to wear it over the jersey.

A: This can be worn either above or below your jersey. I personally wear mine above only because I'm tired of ripped jerseys from roost or a fall.

Q: Return Policy
2 years 4 months ago
Was wondering what your return policy would be. I'm concerned about the size. If it doesn't fit correctly is it an issue to send back. I'm 5'10 but wide shoulders and chest. Not sure if I should order a large or an x-large

Q: My son is 13, rides trails 5'7" 135 lbs want to get protection that will fit him in the Spring. Thinking size large chest protector would this be good

Also will he need elbow & neck protection? I've seen expensive neck braces would they fit with this chest protector? He is not racing just trails, is there a less expensive neck protection option? Friend suggested neck roll they use for football

A: Based on Fox's sizing chart he would be in a medium. Evs makes a nice neck roll: http://www.motosport.com/evs-r3-race-collar

Small 50 - 85 lbs (22 - 39 kg) 4'3" - 5'4" (129 - 162 cm)
Medium 85 - 150 lbs (39 - 69 kg) 5'2" - 5'11" (157 - 180 cm)
Large 150 - 210 lbs (68 - 95 kg) 5'8" - 6'2" (172 - 187 cm)
XL 210 - 300 lbs (95 - 136 kg) 5'9" - 6'9" (175 - 206 cm)

A: There isn't really a specific neck brace that this chest protector is made to fit with. From what I have seen the Leatt Neck Braces would be your best bet for proper fitment with this protector.

Q: Will this work with alpinestar brace

Will this fit the alpinestar brace? Can not find a chest protector that fits.

A: alpinestars does not specify whether it will or not. but our description says •The adjustability of the Fox Airframe chest protector make is easier to fit this chest protector with a neck brace. Note: Everyone is different and may require slight modification for best fit with a neck brace. so it can fit you just mgith need to modify.

A: I am also 6'-0" tall and I have the XL size and it fits me well, but I am also 240 lbs #size 38 pant#. I have the straps around the waste of the chest protector as tight as they go. If you are only 160 lbs. it would likely be too loose around the waste for you in the XL size.

Q: How do you clean this if you ride in the mud?
If i'm riding in mud should i spray it with the hose, or take it apart and put it in the wash , like the cloth part.
Nichro

A: I'd recommed washing with a hose and a soft brush with soap. The washer would destroy the padding.

A: No need to pull it apart, just spray it off with the hose.
