Acerbis Rally Pro Spoilers NickB - A little flimsy in my opinion "Forget about relying on the mounting screws that these come with...they are basically useless and I just used them to help keep the spoilers in place while the epoxy dried. I first installed these with the included mounting screws (which are very small btw). I didn't like the flimsy feel to the installation...so I backed the screws out....lightly sanded the backs of the spoilers and the front of the hand guards with 200 grit (only within the footprint of where the spoiler goes over the hand guard) to get the sheen off, I then gave both the back of the spoiler and the front of the hand guard a quick alcohol wipe, then applied some heavy duty 3M double sided tape, applied some heavy duty bonding epoxy, and then refastened the mounting screws pulling the assembly together. They now feel rigid and secure...it's been a month or so of riding and nothing has rattled off yet."
It all comes down to control.
Your dirt bike is a machine that reacts to every input from you, the rider. Why not make it more comfortable while customizing it to your riding style and positioning? MotoSport has everything you need to make your bike fit you perfectly.
Dirt bike grips and levers.
Input from your hands account for most of the control of your bike, so you'll want the very best when it comes to dirt bike levers and bars, whether you're just replacing a bent or broken lever or upgrading to an aftermarket piece of CNC machined, fully adjustable kit that will last as long as your bike and look awesome doing it. Starting with motorcycle levers, why not upgrade to adjustable units from ASV Levers, Renthal or ARC Levers? All three brands make levers with adjustable throw, so you can customize where the levers sit to suit your preference, or adjust them out as your pads start to wear down from the heat of repeated braking on the track. The levers are made specifically for your bike and come in a handful of colors as well as having full faculty warranties against defects.
As for bars, if you fall between 5'5 and 5'10, give some low bars a shot and rotate them down a little, so that the grips are closer to you. If you're at or above the 6' mark, give some of our taller bars a shot, rotated forward just a bit. Pro Taper covers the whole range, along with Renthal Handlebars and TAG Handlebars.
While you're at it, you may as well get some new Dirt Bike Grips, right? we have a range of grips, from the soft and grippy Pro Taper Pillow Top, which come in a range of colors, to the tried and true style ODI Grips. We also have Renthal Grip Glue to keep them secure on your new bars.
Prevent tank slappers with a steering damper.
By stabilizing the front end of your dirt bike, the rear of the motorcycle will track straighter allowing the rest of your suspension to work the way it was designed to. In addition, dirt bike steering stabilizers virtually eliminate that dreaded jerking affect after unknowingly blasting through something like rocks, ruts or tree roots.
