1&1/8th bars GREAT product!!

I have the charmicheal bend and they feel great I'm 150lbs and 5ft5 these are definAtly I perfect fit for me they have move control bike turns easier and they cut vibration from what stock was!!! Also super easy install and a great price!!! But I'd say the best part is if you bend these bars your probably buying a new bike!!!these are really strong bars and lighter than stock!! Also comes with a new renthal pad which is cool!! The charmicheal bend works very well with a Honda !

Excellent bars!

I installed twinwalls on my kx250. I have went on 2 rides already and they work and feel great! It would have been great if they would have come with the rubber mounts or washers for the rubber mounts but all in all the handlebars are great and couldn't ask for more.

First Purchase and very happy

First of all, just want to say I'm by no means a professional. I rode dirt bikes for about 4 years in my youth back in the early 90's and have been riding street for past 10. I just recently got back into dirt bikes as I bought my son (age 15) and I a pair of KX dirtbikes. Only our 4th time out and I decide I'm ready to learn wheelies on my 06' KX450F, NOT! Darn you youtube! Yup, as soooo many of us dopes do, we see how easy it is to do tricks on youtube and decide it’s so easy even an old man can do it, but what started off fairly well at first riding just a few inches off the ground for 3 and 4 seconds, ended abruptly by me showing my son how to eat it by ripping too much throttle ending up with a severely damaged ego, a seriously bruised rump shaker, busted throttle tube, and you gessed it, a bent set of handlebars So that’s my story, now on the review...
The purchase was very easy, shipping time wasn’t bad, and assembly was simple. I called in prior to the purchase and the sales rep was friendly and extremely helpful in making sure I ordered everything I needed. I was pleased that everything was packed nicely and order was complete and even happier that when I assembled it, I didn’t need anything. The product is absolutely solid, from the design to how sturdy it looks and feels, I would definitely recommend this product, but make sure to buy the kit and the rubber grommets, as they will not fit in your standard mounts. As a side note, the prices were good so I will be buying from them again, however on another purchase (shorty clutch and brake levers for my ZX9R) it has been on backorder over a month!!!! Cmon guys, before the seasons over please!!!

Install tip for newbs like me. I struggled aligning the handle bars at first, because I tried assembling the mounts to the handlebars first, so what I figured out (maybe not the best way, but it worked for me) was to assemble the bottom portion of the mounts first and get them fairly snug, then line them up so the handlebars fit perfectly when laid in, once this is done, tighten the bottom so there is no play in the mounts, then lay in your handlebars and get the top mounts snug before getting your torque wrench all around.

These bars are great. I love them, and would never get another bar than these. They last like they should and feel great. These bars are super strong

Great Mounts and Very Strong Bars

This combo is excellent. I did make the mistake of initially getting the mounts that go on top of current mounts (I have a 2011 CRF 250R) and they did not show up for that year. Those mounts raised my bars too high. Anyway I exchanged the mounts for the 2010 Honda mounts and they worked great and look very nice.

Twinwall combo

This combination on any bike would be the right move. It has everything to convert from 7/8 bars to 11/8 bars. Plus the bars are the best on the market. Then with those Turners bar mounts(the best combo kit)

The toughest bars

the bars are the toughest i ever had. i crashed and twisted my triple clamps but the bars unscratched.
if you are putting solid mounts on a quad you need to shave the bottom bump to go on top of a oem steering stem.

Pretty good

had pro tapers biggest waste of money evver like the over sized barrz

jojopratt Top 1000 Contributor

great bar, it gives you the ability of being able to put a 1 1/8" bar on your bike while still having the 7/8" bar size for your levers and throttle tubes

I got these

as a hardcore protaper fan, and when my protapers bent i got these as a replacement, and ill never buy any other bar,
first off the got landed on and i broke my hand with a 450s dunlop on the bars and no bend, not even a scratch!

THEN i lent my bike to a friedn and it fell out of his truck goin out my driveway and landed right on the bar and still no bend!
plus they look trick!
all my riding buddies have bought really expensive pro tapers that have bent or even snapped and i just laugh, GREAT bars

Great combo

these bars are awesome. they are very strong and have survived a few good crashes so far.

The only thing is that now I cant get a set of tie downs that fit the bar because its so wide. I have to wrap it around and hook it to itself.

the mounts are great quality and give the bike a nice look. installation was a little wierd on my 08kx450, as the bolt on the new mounts is much longer than the stock and it was clipping my cable stay on the frame. I had to bend the stay out of the path of the bolt.

Also the allen screws that mount the bars fill with water everytime i wash my bike and they are starting to rust. I think it would have been better if they had just used bolts like the stock bars. allen screws are harder to adjust and there is always a chance of stripping them out.

otherwise, I couldnt be happier with this setup

Excellent Bar

Bought the 06 yzf bend to replace my stock Renthals on my 06 kx250f. The stockers were in perfect condition still, just wanted a lower rise with less back sweep and added strength. Love the change, helps me stay over the front of my bike. Also the turner mounts look and work great. Both products were very easy to install.

Q: If i put these on my 2016 ttr 230 will it raise the bar height?

A: The universal bar mounts bolt into the stock clamps and add about 1/2" or so. Depending on what bend of bar you choose it may or may not be taller than stock. See the sizing chart to compare handlebar bends and rises. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Q: Handle bar replacement?
on a 2015 Honda 250L the handle bar controls have a alignment pin which goes into a hole(s) in stock handle bars, however after market Renthal bars do NOT have these alignment holes. What procedure should I follow to fit the bike with the New Renthal bars? Do I (a) grind down the pin. (b) drill into new bars?
MotoSportExpert

A: Either way would work, many people choose to drill the bar. On different models I have removed the pin rather than drill the bar and it worked great.

On my bike the lower part of the bar mount is solid with the triple clamp. Will the upper part of the bar mount fit with my 7/8 mount on the triple triple clamp?
MotoSportExpert

Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: This kit will include the adapter for your 2000 RM250 to convert from the 7/8 mount to a 1-1/8th mount. Make sure to profile your bike correctly so you receive the correct set of mounts.
Toybox
Over 3 years ago Location: Oklahoma City, OK, USA
A: you will need to put the oversized 1 1/8 clamps on top of the 7/8. Be sure and order the clamps without the D-bolt. (keep in mind this will raise your bar height !!)

Q: If get renthal bars for my sons ttr-110, which bend would you recommend and will the brake and throttle cable be long enough to mount properly?
MotoSportExpert
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: I would not recommend these handlebars for the TTR-110 as they are a full size handlebar that will be incredibly wide. In addtion, they do not produce these in a tall enough bend to match the stock height. I would look at getting the Pro Taper 7/8 handlebar in the KLX110 bend. This will be a similar handlebar to what is currently on the bike, but will be much stronger. with this handlebar, the stock control cable will still work.

Q: I have a 1981 honda atc 250r, if i go with the 918 CR high bend will i have to change the throttle cable or cluch cable because of the height?
MotoSportExpert
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: You shouldn't have to change cables on on your ATC250r. The CR high bend shouldn't be any taller than the stock bars on that and the adapters only add a small amount of height. Usually there is enough play in the cables to allow for about 1-2" of height change.
