Shattered on first ride

Rode with oem unit for year's, had a small fall the first ride on this one and it broke into a bunch of piece's.
Cleaned all the old grip glue off the oem tube and it's back in service .

Don't waste your time or money .

Easy and affordable fix

My kid's YZ85 takes a beating as he learns to keep it on 2 wheels. This throttle tube makes fixes affordable and easy. 10 minutes to swap it out and put on a new grip.

Simple, quality product.

Can't go wrong for the price and it snapped right into place even on an old bike like my 95 RM 125. Gonna order another just to put into the war-chest for riding days.

Worth it

I get these throttle tubes every time. they are 10 bucks. they do break easy but it just makes sense to me to replace the 10 dollar ones instead of 60 plus dollar ones. even when the ends break off these they still work. I only replace them cuz it bothers me knowing the end is cracked off. the rest of the tube is still in good working condition. no sticking or grinding. good buy.

The very best, for a bargain price!

I have been in love with the MP Nylon throttle tubes for a while now. They never bend and get stuck, the NEVER break, and nylon is naturally smooth when it slides on metal (like your handlebars).
WAY better than those aluminum tubes, and how much is this thing? $12-15? Such a great product!

Excelent replacment.

I used this throttle tube on my 07' CRF450R and it was a straight replacement for the stock tube, easy install, took about 5 min. Smooth operation. Seems pretty durable. Dropped the bike once already with no problems. Good buy!

Price is right

If your on a tight budget its a great buy. but for a few bucks more you could get the Titan throttle tube which blows this one out of the water.

Great throttle tube

Just as you'd expect from Motion Pro. I shaved down the stop ridge so I could slide my grip on further. Works great!

Q: Will this allow for use with handguards? or is it like the titan where as it can not?

A: This would be a nylon OEM replacement just like your stock tube. You can run full handguards with this tube you would just need to cut out the end of the tube to mount them.
Q: Will this fit twin wall handle bars?

Expert MotoSport Staff

A: Yes, all of the handlebars tapper down to 7/8" at the control area to fit the standard controls. The twinwalls will just have a thicker inner wall.

Q: Is this the Motion Pro "Titan" throttle Tube?
Its difficult to tell whether this is the Motion Pro "Titan" throttle Tube on offer or the standard Motion Pro OEM replacement throttle tube? Can you please advise? Additionally will these work with Pro Taper bars? Thanks in advance..
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: This is not the "Titan" throttle tube this is just the standard Nylon OEM replacement tube. We do sell the Titan tube as well (see product recommendations). Both the nylon and the Titan Throttle tubes would work perfectly fine with Pro Taper Bars.

Q: 1981 honda xr250r throttle cable?
I am buying a 1981 honda xr250r and the throttle cable is missing i have been told that this bike came with two throttle cables am just wondering if you know where i could buy them
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: I took a look and it appears Honda has discontinued the throttle cables for your 1981 Honda XR250R. I also checked with Motion Pro which is aftermarket cable manufacturer. I did not have a listing from them for your bike. It looks like you will need to have a set of cables made. I would recommend starting with Motion Pro, they can be reached at
