Too Cool

Sizing, I’m 5’-8” tall 171 pounds. I am not athletically built. I am dough boy with a stomach. I measured a 50 cm chest. I ordered a size 52. The jacket fits very snug with the G2 back protector in. I don’t think the chest protector will fit in yet. I don’t have one to try. I believe I will have to loose about 10 pounds.
The sleeves are the right length for me. I now know they are also perforated. They force your elbows to be slightly bent. Which is a good thing to relieve pressure on the elbows. The sitting position on my bike is not aggressive like on a race replica (FZ-1). The jacket works just fine.
Styling, I got the white, white, anthwhatever. I thought the jacket would be too flashy for a 54 year old man. When I am wearing it. I couldn’t care less what anyone else might think. I feel like ten thousand bucks. It is very flashy. Very visible if you will. Feels great.
I almost bought the alien because I didn’t want a speed hump. No matter. I forgot all about the speed hump as soon as I received the jacket. The speed hump is of no consequence. Plus, I wanted the styling and the extra air flow the super speed C2 summer version provides. I’m glad I chose the super speed C2. It is super duper cool.
This is my first leather motorcycle jacket. The leather is nice and thick. I treated the jacket with leather conditioner as soon as I received it. It is breaking in like a glove. The armor is fitting in a way that I am confident it will stay in place if I end up on the pavement.
There is a small problem with this. I wear a long sleeve stay cool top. With a T shirt over to hide my flabby stomach. The sleeves from my T shirts are bunching up under my arm pits when I put the jacket on. I figure muscle shirts will fix this problem.
I can not open and close the air flow zippers on the fly. I have to pull over and take the jacket off. The collar is stiff. I got a boil on my neck from it poking. I have a fairly thin neck. It chokes just a bit.
I have read about the zippers getting stuck. I tried on a few corsa jackets and got stuck in a couple of them. The super speed C2 does not have that problem. If it did in the past. I assure you the problem has been fixed.
There used to be writing on the speed hump and on the strip of leather right bellow the shoulder pad. There is no writing there anymore. I was glad to see that. I want the space to personalize my jacket. Maybe it will help in the event of theft.
The bubble liner works great. The jacket is great. If you are reading this you already know which one you want. Just go for it. You wont regret it even when you are making the credit card payments. I sure don’t.
