Works Connection Hour-Tach Meter & Mount Kit

This hour meter is GREAT! it mounts pretty easily, and is sweet when it is on. Mine has 13 hours on it so far and has had no problems yet. And the tachometer is interesting to see as I am in the two-stroke's power band. Great product from a great website, Motosport.com!

This hour meter is a great tool for the ease of knowing when to do the correct maintenance to your bike. And it looks great also.

Save your money

Clean looks upon install. One of the bolts I received was so deformed at the cap portion that it wouldn't fit into the recess of the plastic housing. I was able to find a replacement floating around in my toolbox. I am assuming it logs accurate time but I don't feel that the tachometer function is accurate at all. After every ride it shows the max RPM and it reads 19,999 every time. I know my CRF250R will rev but that sounds a little inflated.

Put an hour meter on your bike!

This is a great hour meter/tachometer combo. Installation if not hard but you will probably have to pull the tank off. Follow the instructions about how and where to wrap the wiring. (You wrap a wire around your spark plug wire.) When you crank the bike the meter will show your current RPM's. When you kill the bike it will show the highest RPM you had since the bike was last cranked. (This only displays for a few seconds.) Then, the hour meter will display. It's the only was to accurately track your maintenance.

Mount Kit suitability for KXF?
Can you please advise if the mount kit is suitable for the Kawasaki KXF bikes? From the Works Connection website it appears that the mount kit for the Kawasaki has a different part number as it contains a spacer washer and longer tank mounting bolt?

I mounted mine on a 2005 KX 250. It used the same (stock) bolt for the top tank mount. (by the triple tree) I cant remember if I did or didn't reuse the washer and used the mount as the washer instead. I will have to look at it again. I hope this helps. Dewy002 in FLA.

I bought this meter from MotoSport for my 2009 KX250F and it fit perfectly. You need to get the one that comes with the mounting bracket. You remove the bolt that holds your tank in place then put that bolt through the bracket and back into your tank. The other screws mount the meter to the bracket. I don't think the KXF design has changed so you should be good to go. Good Luck!

Yes. This kit would work perfect for your 2011 KX250F. The mount kit simply installs where your tank bolts up right behind the next of the frame. It is a very clean set up and allows you to easily see the hour/tach reading on your bike.

Yes, I understand that there is a different spacer size, but thats a preference (the spacer that came with the kit above, required longer tank bolts to fit correctly. I believe I just installed without the long spacer, but still used the bolts in the kit. I received the kit, and installed it on my 2013 kx250f. Here's a pic!
