The Bell brothers are known far and wide as two of the fastest up and coming siblings in the sport. Both have staked claim to countless titles over the year and both are on the fast track to motocross stardom. We caught up with the younger of the two, Chase, while at Muddy Creek for the Southeast Loretta Lynn Regional Qualifier. However, due to some bad luck in practice, Chase was sitting on the sidelines rather than qualifying for the world's biggest amateur race. Read on to find out what happened.

Chase we are here at Muddy Creek Raceway and you're not out there, what happened?

Yeah, you know I went out for practice on my Supermini. I was just checking out the track and I saw this kid and he was trying to go fast so I just tried to follow his lines. I ended up getting in front of him and then he just landed on me and I crashed. I thought I was fine, I tried getting up and walking away and my leg just gave out. From then on, I just knew my leg was messed up.

What's the prognosis on your knee?

Well we haven't really been able to see what's wrong with it yet, but as soon as we get home we are going to go get an MRI done.

Have you qualified in another region?

Yeah, I think my next regional is next weekend in Freestone so hopefully I can make it.

You have been pretty lucky with staying healthy the past few years unlike your brother who has had the opposite luck. Now the tables are turned, where do you go from here?

I'm going to focus on getting Zach 100 percent healthy and hopefully helping him bring home some titles.

You've brought home countless titles thus far in 2011, will this set you back?

No, I honestly don't think so. We've got a solid program working right now and with motocross sometimes things happen that are out of your control. I'll go home and get my knee checked out and hopefully will be back on the bike in time for the Southwest Regional at Freestone in a few weeks.

Thanks, Chase. Good luck.

Thank you.

Editor's Note: Since the interview Chase has received an MRI and has been given clearance to attempt to qualify out of the Southwest Region at Freestone County Raceway.
