Howdy y'all and welcome back to MotoSport.com Gear Head weekly observations! This is the mud-covered Gear Head Ryan Roberts back at it with all the takes from Round 11 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross from Seattle, Washington!

WOW!!!! What a race we had in Seattle! Now you may be thinking that Cooper Webb is back and can make a run at Jett Lawrence, and you would be completely wrong! It took Jett having a fall, stall the bike, and get stuck behind a lapper to not win that race. After the collision with Coop and Jett went down, he was still going to win that race for sure. His fasted lap time was 1.5 seconds faster than anyone else in the class. Once he went down and was coming back he stalled the bike and as sketchy as the track was, Jett took the mature stance and decided to leave in tact with the third place. That also makes it even scarier for everyone else when Jett has the maturity to take what is safe and go to the next race. If Jett has matured, he is taking one more step into just completely dominating this series for years to come.

Chase Sexton had a great race and took home a second, but this was his best race so far this year. He was completive from the beginning and actually looked comfortable, which is something he hasn't been all year. He is, in my opinion, the only one that can give Jett a run for his money over the next few years. Several guys will be retiring out of the series soon and I still don't think there is anyone in the 250 class currently that can give Jett some competition. It is good for the series and the sport to see Chase coming back around.

In the 250 class, Levi Kitchen went wire-to-wire to take home the victory. At the moment, I think Levi has set himself apart from the rest of the field in the 250 West class and has the potential to take home the title in that series. With the way this series can go though, nothing is for certain. Levi looked really calm on the track and didn't really look like he was pushing it. After the race, R.J. Hampshire admitted he had nothing for Levi, which is a rarity in our sport for someone to come out and admit they couldn't hang with the competition.
