Eli Tomac and Marvin Musquin gave fans an epic performance on Saturday for Round 4 of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series at High Point with an all-out dual for the win in Moto 2 going to Tomac who grabbed the overall on the tie-breaker.

Musquin ended Tomac's consecutive Moto win streak with an edgy performance in Moto 1 trialing Tomac for more half the race before making the pass and heading home for the win. This setup Moto 2 with the victor taking the spoils as Tomac got around Ken Roczen after Lap 1 and shortly after had a determined Musquin behind him for the duration. The most intense racing of the season ensued with Musquin making charge after charge taking a wheel length here and there before Tomac took it back and so it went all the way to the checkers.

Tomac (2-1) kept his overall win streak alive as Musquin (1-2) rebounded from a so-so performance at Thunder Valley to keep pace with his rival in the standings. Justin Barcia (3-5) finished third overall as Ken Roczen (7-3) took fourth, rebounding from nearly last in Moto 1 thanks to a first turn pile-up, and Justin Hill (4-6) who left his 250 bike in the semi finished fifth overall proving at least for one race he was right - the 450s suit him better.

In the 250 class, Aaron Plessinger swept for the second time this season, taking the Red Plate back in a big way and eliminating an eight-point deficit to Jeremy Martin entering High Point and leaving with a 20 point advantage. Martin finished second in Moto 1 but a bike malfunction in Moto 2 ended his day dropping him from first to second in the standings. Austin Forkner (4-2) took second and Justin Cooper (3-4) rounded out the podium.
