Airway MX Park, located just outside Spokane, WA, hosts Round 3 of the 2018 MotoSport.com Pac West series on Sunday with solid riding weather in the forecast and more riders expected lining behind the gates.

Round 2 of the series, started by former pro Ryan Villopoto and Brian Nilsen, co-owner of The Brothers Powersports in Bremerton, WA visited Eugene MX Park in Eugene, OR last month where riders enjoyed exceptional weather and a great track that featured red clay offering a new challenge for many. The day proved much different from a very wet Round 1 held in February at Woodland MX Park in Woodland, WA.

In Eugene, the kids classes were full, riders from all over the Pacific Northwest competed and total entries topped the 200 or so that turned out for the opening round. Rider turnout was also the most in recent memory for the park, which is also known as Territorial MX, which many rode for the first time. Additionally, the track held up very well and other than some bumps and bruises no major crashes occurred.

With more great weather expected (mid-70s) and a close proximity to Idaho, organizers expect another great turn out for Round 3 and lots of parity in the 34 racing classes ranging from 50cc beginner to 450 pro.

Doors open for practice at 8 a.m. on Saturday and for racing at 6 a.m. on Sunday at Airway X Motocross Park, 12402 W. Sprague Ave. in Airway Heights, WA. The optional practice day costs $35. Race fee costs $35 plus a one-time $35 membership fee (if not paid at Round 1 or 2) and a $15 entry fee charged by the track. Check out Airwayx.com for more information and keep in mind the park only accepts cash.
