Heath Harrison is now three-for-three in the "Cash for Clash" and Travis Sewell took another win in the AX Pro Lites class to close out the third round of the 2015 MotoSport.com AX Tour held on Saturday at the Batesville Civic Center in Batesville, MS.
Harrison added to his lead in the high-payout "Clash for Cash" series and grabbed another checkered-flag in the AX Pro series to solidify himself as the rider to beat for the season. Keeping close tabs on Harrison is Sewell who now has three-straight AX Lites series wins and posted a runner-up finish to Harrison in the AX Pro and Clash for Cash series. Josh Osby rounded out the podium in the AX Pro and Clash events as newcomers Mitchell Harrison took second and Daniel Herrlein finished third in the AX Pro Lites event.
Heath Harrison didn't have an easy time of it as he did in Round 2 as the other Harrison grabbed the holeshot in the Clash event and led for half of the 20-lap race until Heath Harrison made a pass and kept the lead. In the AX Pro race however, Harrison continued his dominating racing by taking an early lead and never looking back. The newcomer Harrison also took the holeshot in the AX Pro Lites but Sewell managed to pass him for the lead and win in that race.
The Clash for Cash event brings the Top 10 riders from the AX Pro and AX Lites races to compete head-to-head in a 20-lap main event. Riders earn points in each class as well as the Clash for Cash, which offers the highest payout of all the races. The new AX Tour season is capitalizing on last year's record breaking turn-out as more than 30 riders entered for both the AX Pro and AX Pro Lites classes. Additionally, more than $175,000 in cash and contingencies is up for grabs this year.
