After a somewhat slow start to the year, defending Champion Cooper Webb finally got a win taking Round 6 of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season on Saturday in San Diego and moved into third-place in the Championship standings.

Webb chased 450 class rookie Adam Cianciarulo around the track for much of the night before finally making the pass and leading the final five laps. Cianciarulo just missed on his chance to grab his first premier class win but settled for second on a strong night of racing. Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac who traded wins the previous four rounds finished sixth and fourth, respectively. Roczen holds on to the Red Plate for another week, but not by much as Tomac sits just one point behind. Blake Baggett took third for his first podium of the year.

In the final 250 West class, defending Champion Dylan Ferrandis tailed Austin Forkner for much of the race before finally getting the pass, and sending Forkner over the berm while doing so. Ferrandis led the final four laps for his third win of the year while Forkner held on for second. Ferrandis increased his lead in the Championship standings to seven over Justin Cooper who rounded out the podium.

The 250 West class takes an extended break as the season moves east on Saturday in Tampa giving the 250 East class their chance to shine. Until then, check out all the action from San Diego. Photos by Ryne Swanberg.
