Eli Tomac started the second half of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series with a victory as he dominated Moto 1 and took second in Moto 2 for the Round 7 overall on Saturday at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI.

Tomac extended his points lead to 35, in his quest for a third straight Championship, over Marvin Musquin who finished third overall thanks to a spill over in Moto 1 that left him trapped under his bike and nearly in last place by the time he got going. He worked his way up to seventh to salvage some points along with a Moto 2 win. Jason Anderson finished second overall after a (2-4) day. Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen rounded out the Top 5, respectively.

In the 250 class, Dylan Ferrandis dominated Moto 1 and checked out in Moto 2 after taking the lead from Alex Martin for the sweep. Ferrandis took a 12 point chunk out of Adam Cianciarulo's Championship points lead but remains 25 points back from the leader in second. Cianciarulo (5-2) finished second overall despite being docked two spots after leaving the track in Moto 1 and re-entering in front Joey Crown, who Cianciarulo was initially behind. Justin Cooper (3-6) took third on the tie-breaker over RJ Hampshire (2-8).
