Motorcycle Clutch Kits

Motorcycle clutch kits contain all you need to replace a worn clutch. Go with the kit if your whole clutch assembly is worn or if you are looking to upgrade the performance of your motorcycle. You can also replace the individual clutch components as needed. The majority of modern motorcycle use a wet clutch meaning the clutch pack uses engine oil for cooling. The clutch pack is comprised of a stack of alternating steel plates and friction plates. Tangs along the inner diameter of the steel plates engage with the inner hub of the clutch while lugs along the outer edge of the friction plates fit into the outer clutch basket. These steel and friction plates get pressed together by springs coupling the outer clutch basket to the inner hub and transfer the crankshaft's rotation to the input shaft.

If you have more questions or want some advice on replacing or upgrading the clutch in your motorcycle give a gearhead a call at 1-888-676-8853 who can help shift you into gear!
