Boyesen Dual Stage Power Reeds

Product Description

Boyesen's revolutionary dual-stage reed design delivers more usable power than stock. Your original one-stage reed operates most effectively only within a narrow RPM range. Boyesen's one soft reed on top of one firm flow-through reed gives you a wide range of intake control, plus increased intake velocity. Your original reeds can't possibly duplicate that performance.

  • Dual stage reeds.
  • Minor change give major H.P. improvements.
  • Faster opening and closing.
  • Greater low pressure (low-throttle) response.
  • Greater velocity and flow area.
  • Longer overall life.
  • No engine damage if broken.
  • Carbon pro has new carbon fiber reed for quicker response.

Responsive

put them in with a new piston. in my cr 125. first weekend, the bike ran good. but bogged in low rpms. after READING the calibration chart that came with the reeds. a simple 3/8 turn in on my air screw, the bog came right out. gained some torque in bottom end. and the power band is deffinatly twice as responsive.

Great service

Order was processed quickly. Being able to find the reeds for my motorcycle which is a 1994 model was a plus. The reeds made a noticeable improvement in power. Almost as much as a pipe and porting

I have a 2006 YZ125 with a full FMF exhaust. I bought these power reeds after reading the reviews and they were right. This is probably the cheapest way to get the most power out of your bike. I think it's noticeably faster. The power band is way more aggressive and it feels like it has better throttle response. The installation was a little hard, but nothing crazy. I had to take most of the rear of the bike off to do it, I'm sure theres an easier way though.

BOYESEN ROCKS!

These reeds work great!! The dual stages help smooth the power band while also increasing power on my yz250. I put these reeds right in with no jetting modifications. Instructions included for easy installation. Great set of replacement reeds for the money!

Unfortunately Boyesen does not offer a replacement reed specific to the Yamaha A100R OR V100R. Unfortunately I have very limited information as we only deal with US models. We will not carry anything specific to this bike.

Do you get both sides?
MotoSport Staff
Over 6 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The reeds are sold in kits to rebuild one complete reedblock. For a single cylinder engine you will only need to order 1 set. In the case of a twin cylinder such as the Yamaha Banshee, you would need to order 2 sets to rebuild both reedblocks. Gaskets for the reedblock are not included and must be purchased separately.

The reed cage has a reed on the top and bottom. Does this product come with both or do I need qty 2?
MotoSport Staff
Over 7 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
By ordering one package of reeds, it will contain the correct number of reeds for the entire reed block. Only quantity 1 is required.
