This is exactly what I needed my old perch was super tight to pull it was a workout in itself this one is a nice smooth easy pull easy to install too
This lever/perch assembly is very well built and the price is excellent. If you dont want to go up to the next level of folding levers then this is a great alternative. The "on the fly" clutch adjusting wheel is aggressively knurled, your glove will have no issue getting traction on the adjuster. You dont even have to get a hold of it, just run your gloved hand over the top and that wheel turns, very easily I might add.
As well, the overall look is very attractive. Another cool feature is how it is mounted to the handlebar. It has an insert that goes between the perch and bar, making no metal to metal contact. What this provides is in the event of a fall the mount will spin about the bar to help prevent breaking off.
One more thing, the lever is quite long, if you like shorty levers (I have run short levers for years) this may be a bit of a change. Overall, the performance is great, the looks outstanding, and finally some protection from the falls to keep it from breaking. I put this on my 2002 CR250R, very pleased and recommend.
I installed the Pro Taper Profile clutch perch on the wife's KDX220 replacing the stock unit. The Pro Taper's pull is smoother and the lever gives her more leverage over stock which is nice too.
This is top notch quality. I have put them on the last three race bikes and they have held up on some ruff crashes. The pull of the lever is so smooth and tight highly recommend this
My son nick moskal thinks he may stay with this for a way, its super easy and while it seems complicated at first my 5 year old son installed it easily
Love the lever. It's fully adjustable, so I could get it exactly where I wanted it. Also there is no wobble like the factory one. This lever is also so smooth and easy to pull. If I brake this one I'll definitely invest in the flexible one as I love this lever and perch.
So far the best clutch setup Ive ridden with. On the fly adjustment is easily accessible with one finger as your on the move or in the air
Great smooth feel compared to a stock lever & perch. Easy install. 14' Trx450
Much better than stock, also eliminates the e-brake assembly which I found to be bulky and in the way of my hand guards.
i was blown away by this Pro Taper clutch lever and perch! First-super easy to install! Second-SMOOTH! Third-Looks great! Motosport.com delivers again! Gave it a 3 on durability only because I've only taken a couple of rides with it.
Installed on a 2009 crf450r with a stock steel clutch cable. Fits as expected and the on the fly adjustment is very convenient. I run this with a Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 kit with no issues at all.
My clutch pull with my stock yz250 perch was extremely stiff and hard to pull, I tried everything to fix the problem but nothing worked. That is until I purchased this pro circuit clutch perch, it immediately fixed my problem and made my clutch pull SO much easier and smoother. Its easy to adjust, looks great, and installation was pretty easy as well. Overall great product!!
Bought this clutch because of the price, brand and it says in the description "for use with stock clutch perch." However, after receiving this product and attempting to install (not rocket science) I noticed it would not fit my stock perch. I read the directions that came with it and they say... "ASV lever will not fit your stock perch unless you have a Honda CR- type perch or aftermarket quick adjust perch that uses a CR-type lever"
Hope you guys (motosport) will fix the description. This is too nice of a clutch to relieve bad reviews because of that mess up.
This product does come with the Kawi/Yamaha and Honda bushing
Great customer service as always and got upgraded to another clutch
This is a really nice set up. Easy cable adjustment, rubber boots keep the dirt out. The lever pivot actually has bearings in it and has an adjustable lever position stop. Plastic sleeve on bar mount allows easy adjustment to rotate perch on the bars and offers some give if you go down. This is my second one.
Replaced the stock lever on my 07 TRX450er after my perch snapped off - This was one of the cheaper options out there and so far so good. The build quality of the unit seems to be solid, the only thing that concerns me a bit is the rubber cover that is supposed to be pushed up against the adjuster does not seems to be as tight/snug as the instructions suggest. Over time, this my erode my clutch cable, but we will have to wait and see. Definitely pulls a bit smoother than OEM lever and look better in black. would be nice if they sold a matching break lever, but now that's just being picky! Overall good product; would recommend.
I bought one for my sons KX 65 and it works so well I bought one for my CR 125
Purchased this for my 8 yr. old son's bike. This is his first bike with a clutch. The adjustment allowed me to set it up with a short throw for his small hands, also made for a somewhat easier pull for him. The quick adjust is a little weird, can't seem to get it to have the adjustment that I thought it would, I ended up fine tuning it with the lower adjustment at the clutch arm. It's possibly due to adjusting the throw so short, has to do more with me than the assembly. Once the boot is installed you can't see what's going on with the adjustment. Use a little Vaseline to get the adjuster boot on, it's super tight (good thing).
love the quick adjust. smooth solid clutch pulls. the dust cover for the cable takes some muscle to pull off but provides a good seal.
(Husqvarna 610 supermoto)
The long arm and adjustments reduced the clutch pull strength significantly. A must buy! Just needs to come in different colors.
Lever, perch, adjuster and boot.
For models with a stock (OEM) clutch lever starting safety switch. You will need to disconnect the switch and if it does not start you will need to bridge the wires to close the circuit. Manufacturers use it as a safety mechanism to keep your bike from starting in gear or without the lever pulled in. Once you have done this, your bike will start regardless of being in neutral or having your clutch pulled in.
