The work that went into developing the RS-4 muffler design paid big dividends in 2010 with Ryan Dungey winning the AMA 450 Supercross and Motocross Championship series as a rookie in the same year, and again in 2012 with the Yoshimura-backed GEICO Honda team winning both 250 Supercross Lites titles. That same R&D has been directed to developing the current generation RS-4 - a unique design that provides an unrivaled combination of power and a quiet exhaust note. The RS-4 features a polyresonant duplex chamber, a two-staged stepped baffle and an innovative carbon cone end cap.

  • Pentagonal-shaped muffler sleeve and aluminum mount bracket.
  • Front muffler cap functions as a polyresonant chamber which helps reduce noise.
  • Two-staged stepped baffle.
  • Innovative carbon cone end-cap.
  • Durable high-grade titanium tapered header and mid-pipe.
  • Considerable weight reduction.
  • Titanium Systems come with a AMA Pro Racing sound insert installed in the muffler.
  • Step-by-step directions and all necessary hardware included for an easy installation.

Awesome pipe!!!

I put this pipe on my Crf450 and it dramatically improved the throttle response, and totally eliminated flameouts/pop stalls.

Best purchase for exhaust

Exhaust fits perfectly on the bike, makes coldstart a lot easier, give the power a little more of a "kick" to the bike, and give it a beefier sound.

Awesome

This pipe adds tons of power! I was really surprised how much i noticed it, it added power everywhere. The low end power is really brought to life on my 2010 crf250r. Install was simple and so far after about 5 months I've had no trouble at all. Durability seems good too. GET IT!!!!!

Well worth the money

i put this exhaust on my 2010 honda 250f. the bike was kinda slow stock but ive never noticed such a power gain from just an exhaust as much as i did with this one. it also sounds great. it sounded like the bike had motor work from just the exhaust. i have a full race motor in it now and this is the best exhaust ive ever ran on any of my bikes! GET ONE!!!!!

Excellent Product

One of the best products I've purchased and a must have for the '09 CRF450. The '09 CRF450 falls on its face at about 8200RPM, but this pipe adds about 3+hp on the dyno and brings peak power to about 9500RPM which is a massive improvement. I didn't realize at first, but I thought the included 94db insert was missing when I unpacked everything. Turns out it is pre-installed and you can see it in the product photo. The pics I added are the pipe without the insert (99db)(almost 1hp gain) and the free exhaust plug and spring puller that come with the kit. Don't bother with the full carbon kit. It only saves 0.2lbs over this full titanium and carbon will breakdown as the packing wears out. This drops over 2.0lbs from the stock unit. Oh and Titanium is the easiest to maintain(clean) material there is. The stainless calls for occassional polish every few hours of use etc.. So far I love this new setup and it looks totally trick!

AMAZING

For the 09-10 CRF450R this exhaust is amazing! Massive power increases throughout the ENTIRE powerband.I actually have a Pro Circuit T-4R on my CRF450R, which takes away a little bottom and adds a ton of top end (which I prefer for my riding style). I had the opportunty to try/test the Yoshimura exhaust and it adds power everywhere! It's also premium quality and style, as is the Pro Circuit.

There is a yoshimura rs-4 (short version like 2009-10) available for my crf 450 2011 ?
or can i buy the 2010 rs-4 version and adapt to my 2011CRF 450 ?

No. Yoshimura list pipes for the CRF450R for models 2009-2010, and different part numbers for 2011-2012. The only other exhaust offered from Yoshimura is the RS-4D for your 2011 CRF450R.

Resonance chamber?
I've seen some of the pros bikes having resonance chambers on the header. Can I get that? Or is that a custom thing?

Yes, companies like FMF and Pro Circuit offer exhaust systems with a resonance chamber. The Yoshimura RS-4 will not have a resonance chamber. I would recommend taking a look at the Pro Circuit Ti-6 system or the FMF Factory 4.1 exhaust system.

No, The Yoshimura RS-4 exhaust systems for the 2009 and 2011 Honda CRF450R are different and are not interchangeable. The 2011 exhaust system will not mount up correctly on your 2009 Honda CRF450R.

Will this work on a 2011 crf450r with a GET ecu? Or will other mapping be requird?

The GET ECU should work well with any aftermarket exhaust system. The Performance MAP ready inside for stock bike and with racing exhaust. There may be some tuning required for this particular exhaust system. You can upload different maps for the GET ECU via www.getdata.it

This is actually a full exhaust system, it would include the Yoshimura Header pipe. The muffler will only work with the Yoshimura Header, it will not fit the stock header.

Does the Yosh RS-4 Allow for a Spark Arrestor???

If you check out the product description, it states that the "Carbon fiber end cap comes with a USFS-approved Spark Arrested insert installed in the muffler". So you'd be all set.
