Great product

I purchased this for my new 2012 Honda CRF 250X and it fit perfectly. I was easy to install (the instructions could have been better i.e. pictures) and I am no mechanic. It took me about 30 minutes to install and it looks great on the bike. I think it looks better than many of the other styles of skid plates and offers a ton of protection for engine components. I highly recommend this product.

Works Connection Off Road Skid Plate

Installed on 2009 Honda CRF 250X. It's very well made and fits with very close tolerances. I had to hand-file an aluminum edge on one side of the plate to get it to fit. It looks great and adds way more protection than the 2 dinky stock plastic pieces. I can even remove oil filter cap and change filter without taking skid plate off. Expensive, but worth it.

Perfect fit and Great protection!!

I have this mounted on a 2009 Honda CRF250x. This Skid Plate fits perfect! Easy to mount! It's well designed and protects EVERYTHING!! It's super strong, great for Hawaii Terrain ( HUGH rocks and roots). Although a little pricey, but you get what you paid for!! Motosport.com shipped it the same day I ordered it (5/25/2011)!! I received it in 2 days (5/27/2011)!! It was shipped thru UPS. Now that is FAST!!!! Especially to Hawaii. Thanks Motosport.com, I will definitely order again!

Well Worth the money!!!

Heavy Duty! It wasn't to bad to install, but you will need some help. On the crf450x 09, it makes the engine alot louder, but don't worry you will get used to it. Went on a porker run last weekend and it got put to the test on black rock, it is the best one you can buy!! Well worth the money.

Best Skid Plate I've seen...

Doesn't have that "snow shovel" look - it's really tucked up but covers everything exceptionally well. It fits my CRF450X perfectly I was surprised how well it fit and the aluminum is thick and very strong looking. There is enough room to still remove the oil filter; granted it??s a little tight getting the filter in and out but not bad at all.w|.fRP}E} S

Fits like custom stuff

Nice tight fit. Installation takes a bit of trial and error, but this is a well designed product with close tolerances. Side wings are in close but allow access to essentials. I bent the oil filter access (left side) in a really hard get-off, but it saved any damage. Center glide plate is very strong.

No drilling is required as long as it is purchased for the exact bikes make/model and year.

Can you do a full oil change without having to take the skid plate off?

It does have a drain hole in the skid plate to access the drain bolt so I'm sure you can change the oil with out removing it but if you want to keep it clean and if you have the time I would say just remove it.
