Vortex Clip-Ons are an economical replacement handlebar with amazing strength. They are machined from solid billet with a removable handlebar. In the event of a crash, you simply replace the handlebar tube instead of the entire Clip-on.

  • Clip-Ons have fork mounts that are machined from billet aluminum, with all unnecessary weight shaved away.
  • Ergonomic design minimizes fatigue and discomfort by creating the optimal riding position.
  • Handlebar tube length is 292 mm (11.5 inches), and can be cut to size for your fitment.
  • Kit includes both collars, 2 handlebar tubes with plastic ends, and high-tensile strength fasteners.
  • Additional replacement handlebar tubes available in case of crash damage.
  • Notes: For race use ONLY. Should be installed by a certified mechanic ONLY. Vortex Bar End Sliders (sold separately) will also work with Vortex Clip-on handlebar tubes.

Not For Honda CBR1000 08-09

If you have a CBR1000 08-11 you will want to stay away from the 50mm 7degree clip-ons. You will have problems with your controls hitting your plastics. You need the 0 degree if you want the Vortex Brand clip-ons. Great Product just not for this application.

Good Clipons

These clipons are a well made product; I can see the build quality of these bars is high. They lowered the ergos on my 02 f4i making it more fit for doing trackdays. The installation was moderate because I did not want the bars hitting anything but the stops. I found when I set the bars in a comfortable position the clutch perch (stock) and front brake master cylinder (brembo) were hitting. I had to remove material from both sides of the fairing stay in spots to correct. I then welded in some more material in the back of the stay for reinforcement. I could not find any exact measurement I could take to make each bar at the same angle so I ended up getting it as close as I could and marking the triple, tubes, and clamps with a punch mark for reassembly later. The ride is very good as far as the ergos go, but you will notice bad vibration at very high rpm. Staying very loose on the grips helped but I am thinking about filling the bars with a weight to correct this problem.

Great buy!

The clipons went on easy with no problems. The ability to put the angle of them is great. Also, was able to keep the left and right controls,(light controls, kill switch) by drilling two small holes into the clipon. I did have to make a bracket for the brake fluid dispenser, but was very simple.

Good replacement bars

A good replacement bar that is much lighter than the stock bars and considerably less expensive than brand new OEM replacements. Definitely takes some time to get them set-up once installed, since they are adjustable for height, angle, and length. Also requires drilling holes for housings and figuring out how to mount the brake reservoir. The black ones are definitely sharp looking. Would recommend more for the track than the street.

Cheaper than stock and still work

These are a fine quality aftermarket part that fit budget better than stock replacement will. However, think modification! The required drilling is difficult to get in just the right spot and the average sport bikes brake resevoir will be frustrating to get in place without modifying the bracket. Aftermarket bar ends may also need some re-working to fit right. These are not simply plug and play but like most things, the money you save will be worth it.
