Best for the price

i dont do extremely light weight supercross, im just a dude that likes to ride... these sprockets are heavy but overall, if you are considered about the weight its a choice of eating a burger or not, that would make a difference. these sprockets have nearly 4 hours on them and i still see absolutely no wear at all (Unlike those aluminum ones). i like how they have all the sprocket count selections, i chose 12 front and 51 rear so i can take off pretty fast. the PRICE is AMAZING for what you are getting. the sprockets will last you a long time and the basic chain is going to wear out on you but for nearly 25$ its a steal of a deal i only have adjusted my chain 4 or five times, but not much... i would say i have about another 8 hours on the chain untill replacement and another 18 hours for the sprockets replacement... BEST DEAL for a chain and sprocket kit period.

Hard to beat

When I was restoring a 2002 YZ 125, these sprockets fit the bill perfectly. For the price you can't do any better, they look good, fit well, and are very durable. You don't get the flash or minor weight savings of more expensive sprockets, but who cares?

New teeth

I only have a few weeks on the sprocket. It is a solid, good looking sprocket and I expect it to last 10k. I picked the DID Xring chain. A couple hundred miles and it hasn't shown the stretch of a new chain one bit, yet.

Very unhappy with the shipper.

Turner steel sprocket and chain kit

For me, riding a 450f in the sand so much, these things last! I went to these when money was an issue, and I was amazed. I don't care a lot about style, so they work well for me! Took forever to wear out. I bent one, but only when I looped out my bike when riding a trial and the rear end landing strait on the sprocket lol.

If you want super affordable and durable, this is the one.

"A" IMO

Dont know yet

Its been raining every weekend since I received my sprocket kit which came with the front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain, so I have not had the chance to test the durability. However the chain was too long and I will have to either send it back for the right length or take two links out my self. Everything else mounted correctly and looks great.

Great buy

Rear sprocket looks plain as OE, but no complaints for the price. I opted for the HD chain and am glad I did. Best product out there for a budget driven weekend rider.

Good for price

I boght this kit for y crf450 and no matter what i get even if i go with the o ring chain i still seem to go through a set of chain AND sprockets ever 8 to ten rides. I cant beat the price though and last just as long as the more expensive ones for me.

Wears like iron

You just can't beat steel. I've had the same Turner front and rear sprockets on my 2002 YZ250 for years now and they show extremely little wear. I've gone through several chains and have kept the same sprockets because they just never seem wear out! I've compared my used sprockets side-by-side with a new one and the teeth look great.

The weight savings offered from an aluminum sprocket are negigible compared to the cost savings and time saving (from not having to change out sprockets) offered by these.

I ride and race hard and I depend on Turner steel sprockets to hold up. I will never put anything else on my bike.

Who needs style points?

I'm old enough to not care about a cool looking aluminum rear sprocket that doesn't last very long. If you are like me, save yourself a bunch of money and buy this kit. So what if it looks stock, it's going to last way longer than expensive aluminum sprockets. Better yet, get the steel sprocket and spend extra on an o-ring chain, yeah!

"VERY GOOD BARGAIN"

I recentley purchased the Turner chain and sproket combo for my 91 Kawasaki 250 KDX. I found the sprockets and chain to be very reliable and heavy duty for the mere price of $69.95 it cannot be beat! I will continue to purchase parts for my my bike from Moto-Sport!!! Ride On!!!!

A: Going up two teeth in the rear and/or down one in the front from stock generally is a good start.

A: Any of the 520 chains would work on your 2003 Kawasaki KX250. I personally run the DID ERT2 chain. The chains come in bulk length 120 links and will need to be cut to fit.

Q: Turner Steel Sprocket & Chain Kit with 13/51?

Hi, Is it possible to get this kit but with a 51 sprocket instead? Will that work with a 120 link chain? Thanks Carl

A: The largest Turner Rear Sprocket available for your bike would be a 50 tooth. I would recommend taking a look at the JT Steel Chain and Sprocket kit for your 2004 Yamaha YZ125 as it would be available with a 51 tooth rear sprocket. Also, the 120 Link Chain should be long enough for that sprocket combo, you may need to remove links from the chain actually.

Q: Not sure what chain i need for my 89 honda cr250???

I ride in woods, sand and probably 3 to 4 times a year

A: For off road and sand riding typically you would go with a an O-ring or X-ring chain. The best bang for your buck is the Renthal R3 O-ring chain. The o-ring chains require less maintenance and help seal out contaminants such as sand and mud for the off road guys extending the life of the chain.
Bamf212
Over 3 years ago Location: Alsea, OR, USA
A: I would run just a regular o ring chain its going to last you forever on a cr 250 plus sand is very hard on just a basic chain

Q: I wanna run my 400ex on both highway and offroad, what would u suggest for my sprockets and chain?
MotoSportExpert
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: Steel rear sprockets will be the way to go for longevity. The aluminum ones tend to wear out about 3 times quicker. Also when picking the chain, the o-ring and x-ring chains will be of higher quality and since the internal rollers are sealed, will last longer also. The gearing will be completely up to you and you will need to determine whether you would like more top end speed or better low end acceleration. If you give us a call we are more than happy to go over over all the different options available for chains and to help with choosing a gearing combination that will work with your style of riding.

Q: What chain do i need with a 12 front and 41 rear ?

A: As long as you don't have an extended swingarm any of the chains will work. With that gearing on a Raptor 660 any of the chains will need to be cut to length as they come in standard bulk lengths of 100, 110, and 120. For your application I would recommend the DID ATV X-ring chain. It is specifically designed for the atvs and being an X-ring chain, will last longer than the other models.
