Durability is horrible!

I bought this tire at the end of April 2013, Its now the beginning of June 2014, I bought the tire because it had some good reviews and the price was good. I love the tire the whole time I had it except the durability of it sucks! I didn't ride hardly any in the winter which was like a 6 or 7 month span of me barley riding and now the tire is showing the cored. AND I haven't done any burn outs or wheelies on this tire either lol. Any ways the durability is my only problem with the tire!

Impressed with handling on my R1

Very stout tire as far as mounting manually, took 2 of us to manhandle the tire down on one side to get the last 8 inches in on the other side. Took 25g(5 weights) to static balance. I work at the local dragstrip so thought I would give it a go, some wheel spin on my R1 but even drag tires will spin on most R1s. Best traction at 36 psi on the street. Warms up quickly and I actually met with one of the fastest guys who rides the Dragon one day at the overlook. Had about 200 miles on tire, scrubbed in good after 30 miles or so. We were dragging pegs through the Dragon and not once did this tire spin, slide or kick out on me. No chicken strips here boyzzz. I was very impressed even at speeds over 100mph, it was as smooth as butter but as sticky as your granny's molasses. Got about 800 miles on it so far and no real sign of major wear.

Bang for the buck!

This is the second Verge 011 I've purchased for my Concours 14. I got about 8K miles on it and handling is very predictable and precise, even laid-over on the very edge. Admittedly, handling was better with the Dunlop Q3's I used to use, but with the Q3 on the Connie, I'd only get about 2500 miles per rear. I ride my bikes fairly hard and although there are probably better, longer lasting tires on the market, the Shinko returns a great value for a big sport-tourer like my Concours. I'll stick with Dunlop Q3's for my CBR1000RR though...

Finally, some comp for Pilot Power

I just installed a 200x50x17 on my 09' Busa. D$&^, this tire is the truth. Took not even 5 minutes for me feel confident leaning over. Warmed up fast, stuck in corners. Best of all I saved some money going away from the Pilots (which is also an excellent tire) It was a good gamble.
