I used these tires on the street and track days when I first started. I still argue that these are the best performing street tires I've every used. Lots of grip, they warm up quickly, and seem to do best with a stiff suspension. When they do slide, its completely predictable. I did one track day on some Michelin 2ct tires and they felt greasy and slippage wasn't predictable at all.
The Q2's are fine in the rain, although I never felt the need to act stupid when its wet.. I can't speak for longevity since I seem to wear out the edges before the center. I had 3k miles and 2 track days on a rear (ZX6R) and the middle still had some life left. Its a dual compound tire, with more useable softer (side) compound than the 2ct also.
Just FYI, for track days, I ran 30psi front and 26psi rear (cold) with good results.
