Works as described, took me a few to get the tool figured out, but after that was easy. I have a Honda MSX125, 12" wheels so anyone crying about it tearing or it being straight and too hard to use aint doing it right. Take your time be patient. Like others have said, a stand and two people would have made this job a ton easier.
I had some apprehension about being able to apply it properly, but it wasn't that hard. The first side took a bit to get the hang of the applicator but if you hold the roller firmly against the wheel and make sure the applicator is perpendicular to the surface the tape sticks pretty well. It's easiest to have the bike up on a stand so you can spin the wheels. I got blue and it really pops on black wheels. The colors available won't match every bike out there, but a contrasting color would look good too.
I'm really happy with it.
I read a few reviews complaining about the applicator supplied with this tape. The first side of my wheel I applied the tape to I did have problems and it took me awhile to get the tape applied. After that I figured out how to use the applicator properly and the other three side went on perfectly and quickly.
MotoSport is one of the best suppliers I have shopped with. Fast, easy, delivers as promised or sooner. I put orange reflective tape on my stock bike wheels and it looks great. Some people have thought the whole wheel was custom! Take your time applying and it looks professional. I have several thousand miles on it, on and off road and it still looks new! Inexpensive but looks dramatic and adds safety at night, VERY reflective. Ordered another roll in blue for second bike. It is scheduled to arrive today, a day early no less. Very happy with the tape and motorSport!
Make sure you get a friend to held you put this on. This tape is made straight and hard to do it alone and get around the wheels and breaks if you dont have a friend that will roll your bike for you.
Tape is great quality does not peel off like cheaper brands
after i got my wheel stripe tape it was obvious that the green did not match the factory ZX6R color at all. If colors matched i would have installed and been very well pleased with the product.
I have used different wheel stripe kits in the past and was very disappointed with the results. Either the process was really difficult or the results were not what were advertised. Keiti Reflective Motorcycle Wheel Stripe kit makes the process really easy. I placed my bike on front and rear stands, so the tires spin freely. This made the process even easier. This is an easy and inexpensive way to give your rims a sharp look!
The applicator stinks! Do it by hand inch by inch and you will get a MUCH better result! There is enough tape to do the side of a tire 5 times. So, you get one trial and error side before it counts for real. Take your time and you will LOVE the results!
looks great on bike especially at night.
was tuff to install though (not meant for someone with shaky hands)
I went from having red pin striping that I picked up from VIP to having this Keiti reflective tape. I found it much more challenging to apply this tape as it did not have the flexibility as the pin striping. Also the applicator was completely useless as the tape kept shifting off the roller and causing me to go offline so I ended up having to do it all free hand which came out pretty bad. So now I'm forced to either purchase another roll of Keiti and try it again or go with another brand.
Must have bike on stands (front and rear) to put tape on correctly. The applicator is awkward to use at first but once you figure it out, pretty simple. Problem is once you put tape on wheel and it's not straight almost impossible to re-align and there is a very limited amount of tape. Better get it right first time or you'll not have enough tape.
Got the the stripes really fast (Good job Motosport)
as what others have said, it is easier to put the stripes on without the applicator, and as long as you take your time they will look amazing and you will be happy with the look.
I had a rear stand which made it super easy, the front i did a 6 inch section, then pushed the bike a head a bit, then did another 6 inch section etc.
This is bad news. Tape is impossible to use with the tool. Once the backing comes off, you better be exactly sure of the placement.
this wheel stripe is easy to install I found it easyer to install it with out that plastic guide makes the wheel look good just take you're time and don't rush
The tape looks great if you get it right. If you take your time it is easy to apply. The applicator isnt anything revolutionary but it gets the job done.
I only bought one per bike, and did two bikes. Looks great, and really wasn't that hard to install. The applicator takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, its smooth sailing. Just have to be patient and take your time.
Also, on the SV650 that I did, the front wheel lip isn't wide enough for the applicator to work well, so had to do most of it free handed.
I still have a little bit left of both kits, holding on just in case there are some damage.
