Honest Truth

This torque wrench is all you will ever need. You want the rims straight and true this will do the trick.

I actually took mine to our Calibration Lab (major manufacturing company) and yes it was PERFECTION. The calibration tech said it is extremely hard to maintain the tolerances in inch pounds under 100 inch pounds.

This is PERFECTION at its BEST

Must have for all moto riders

This spoke torque wrench is one of the most handy tools in my garage. Have used it 10 times already. Very affordable compared to other brands. My only complaint is that it should come with more tips or at least come with the common sizes.

First Spoke Torque Wrench

Got sick of having loose spokes or over-tightening them. Finally sprung for the torque wrench. Makes setting spoke torque a breeze. Wrench seems high quality, and I have had no issues using it on all three bikes. I like that it's adjustable and comes with different size attachments. Only bummer has been trying to torque my buddy's KTM with Moose wheels... the kit didn't have an attachment which fit it.

Works great on factory excel wheels

bought to check my new excel wheels on my 11' YZ250F. Worked great and helped me set all my spokes to the correct torque. I found all my spokes were loose. Would be nice if it came with more wrenche sizes. I couldnt use on a friends 01' YZ80.

Best tool in the bag

If you have a bike, this is a must have. Takes all the guess work out of tightening spokes and makes it a much faster process.

Excellent tool!

Makes checking spokes super easy and accurate! Should have got one of these years ago.

Great torque wrench for the money, came with the correct heads to torque both the front and rear wheels on my 04 CRF250 and my 99 CR125. No more guessing if my wheels are properly torqued or not!

Broken head

the wrench is great but i have to say that i had a head crack on me and it stripped one of my nipples out. i would recommend finding what size you need and get an extra just in case. you dont want this to happen in the middle of lacing a wheel.

Great tool

this is a great spoke wrench. if you know how to use it. it is awesome for saving your rims, and expand the life of your rims and spokes.

Even Though it has only five wrench heads it's worth every penny, works awesome, have had no problems with it

Good product

The excel torque wrench is a good product in a hard plastic storage case. It works good and is easy to use. The only 2 downsides are the price and for the price I would expect every possible head to be included.

Peace of mind

it was expensive but it does take the guess work out of tightening the spokes. Be careful not to put the tips in sideways.

VetMxr Top 500 Contributor
Makes lacing and spoke tightning easier, but...

The good - makes lacing and spoke tightning easier

The bad - For the price, it should come with all avaible adapters. I had to buy one for my stock CRF150, and another for aftermarket spokes on my CRF450. Had to purchase them from another vendor.

Quality adjustable spoke torque wrench

This wrench was one of the few ADJUSTABLE spoke torque wrenches I was able to find. It's nice to be able to ramp up your spoke tightness when you are re-lacing a wheel, rather than go straight to one (and only one) torque setting that most spoke torque wrenches offer. The wrench comes in a nice case with a handful of different size tips. It does NOT come with the KTM size tip, so be sure to buy it seperately if you ride orange.

Q: Will this work on 2013 KTM 250 sx-f OEM rim and spokes?
The user manual says M4.5 spoke nipple and 5-6 nm of torque. I have the OEM excel rims and spokes. Will this work?
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: For some reason the KTM manual refers to the thread size (M4.5) on the spoke instead of the nipple size.

The correct size spoke wrench for your KTM is a 6.8mm which actually is not included in this set.

We do offer a Spoke Torque Wrench similar to this one, I would recommend the Fasst Company Torque Spoke Wrench Kit

or if you didn't need the whole kit you could order the Fasst Company Adjustable Torque Wrench

and then just order the 6.8mm Fasst Company Spoke Head separately

A: If you have excel wheels and spokes on your 2005 Yamaha YZ125 then yes this will work perfectly for your. It also includes 4 other size spoke wrench fittings (6.1mm, 6.3mm, 6.5mm, 6.7mm) really it should work with the spokes on just about any full sized motocross bike.
