I installed this new regulator and started up my 07' Suzuki GSXR 750. It immediately blew my headlight. I went and purchased a new light thinking that the bulb was just bad. After instillation, I turned the key to the on position and the light came on and I checked everything and all was well. I proceeded to crank the bike and the headlight blew again. I took the connector harness loose and put a meter on the terminals. While the bike was off with the power on, it was providing the light 12.4v and running normally. Upon cranking, the volts spiked up to 18.5. I had to purchase another regulator and install and now all is working normally. I bought this and now Im out my $$$.

Bought one of these for my 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 after my OEM one shorted out internally. I put the new Electrosport regulator on and it worked for about a day before it fried my battery. Hooked up a voltmeter and i was getting 18 volts to my battery. I had it exchanged for a new one and the second one lasted about as long with the same issue, costing me a new battery. Neither rectifier showed any heat damage, just faulty products. Purchased a different regulator and it has given me no problems.
When searching for another replacement regulator rectifier I heard that these guys build them better then OEM by using heavier wires and internal components. And because this is the second time that an OEM Reg/Rect has dumped me off stranded on the side of the road due to burn out from overheating I knew this one had to be an improvement. After installing and ops checking I was very pleased to find that it puts out a higher and steadier output voltage then the previous OEM's. Instead of a wimpy 11 to 13 fluctuating volts depending on RPM's that always left me with a weak battery that required a battery charger every few weeks I'm now getting a solid and steady 13 to 14 volts and immediately noticed all my lights - blinkers, tail light, brake light, head light, tach and speed gauges were all much brighter. Now I don't have to keep the high beam on anymore just to see as you normally should see at night with just the low beam. I am more then pleased with this product and from now on this is my first go-to place for all of my future cycle parts.
My OEM Rec/Reg was getting tired so I decided to replace it. I bought this unit. So far I have had 0 problems. I would buy it again if need be.

Not as reliable as claimed. I bought one for a VFR800 in the hope it was more consistant and reliable than the OEM part. The original rectifier lasted 13 years, the Electosport unit lasted just 13 months.
Loved the new product. Really amazing price and saved my bike. Let me get back to loving riding again.
So I ordered this on the advice of a friend.
I bought a 1989 Honda VTR250 A few months back. Not only my first bike, but a rare one at that. I came home from work and something was smelling bad and the battery was literally boiling. Buddy told me that it was the R/R.
Not knowing what an "R/R" was, he found this on the web and told me to get it and install it.
Since doing so I have run an iron butt SS1K and run about 500 miles besides that!
You may have to use a little "persuasion" to install it as I did being that the heat sink makes it a bit larger than the original, but you will NOT regret using this.

After receiving and installing the rectifier, I had a problem with the wiring match up. I call Motosport and they were more than eager to help. They hooked me up with Electrosport ( the manufacturer) and we resolved the problem over the phone. It was just a matter of moving one wire in the connector. Everyone involved were friendly, professional, and knew their product. I'm rating four stars only because the part wasn't correct right out of the box.
