" I ordered the plastics for a project bike and waited with the bike torn apart for them to arrive, but I was disappointed to learn the front fender was not drilled for bolt holes (or the metal sleeve around them) so my 5 minute install became half an hour searching for the right size drill bit, trying to hold the plastic myself and drill without scratching the fender up and have all the holes in the right spot, the radiator shroud does not hug the tank either, it has a 1/4 inch gap between the tank and radiator shroud. I had hoped for a better fit but the color is nice and the bike does look much better than the old trashed plastics... "

" Well for not being factory parts I guess you should expect having to pry and stretch to get bolts lined up. The front fender I got is going back.... so bent... actually warped. Not sure if it sat in the warehouse for a while under extreme heat and was squished by something else but there is no straightening it out. Don't have the whole bike together yet but It will still look good with shiny new plastic. bottom line... expect issues. "

" Fit is not that great on my YZ250. The front and rear fender are both a little crooked (on a brand new never ridden bike). There are some sharp edges on all the plastic from the molds that looks cheap. Acerbis definitely is better quality and fits better. Also not UFO's fault but Motosport sent me sidepanels that must have been returned by someone since they were restapled and the # plate sides of the panels were facing each other (instead of inside to inside) which scratched them up quite a bit. Good thing I plan to run backgrounds..... "

As long as you profile your ride the plastics should be very very close to the stock look. UFO normally keeps pretty stock lines and shapes as far as plastic goes.

why isn't there black shrouds if there is black back fender and front fender it doesn't make sense?

For some manufactures they only change the shape of the shrouds and leave the fenders the same. This leaves your bike left out when a company like UFO manufacture after market plastic. They only produce plastic so far back and when certain items cross over years your limited to whats only available.

Is there a difference between '01 red and '02 red for a cr125?

Nope! 02' CR red is a bit more "rich" and "pure" than the previous version of red (which ended in 99') so it tends to look a bit better (in my opinion) than the previous versions of red, which almost seem to look pink-ish and "overly-intense." To answer your question though, no. The CR-red color changed in 2000 and stayed the same through 2003, so both 01' and 02' should have the exact same plastic colors!

it doesnt show it, but does the kit for the 09 CRF450R also come with the airbox plastics? and if not do you know if they will be available at all.

Unfortunately your bike is to new and the mfg. haven't sent us the new plastic updates. From what I gather, that piece on the airbox exposes the air filter. I am doubting that UFO will include that as part of the side panels. But I could be wrong. We have a call into UFO but they haven't reply yet. Once they do, I'll update this.

They made a lot of change on that bike in the early years so your best bet would probably be contacting a local Yamaha shop to see what all cross references over through out the years.

For that bike they changed the plastics quite a bit in 1996. So the latest year plastics you can run would be a 1995.

All pictures are a generic depiction of the what they might look like. Keep in mind that the shape will differ from bike models. This plastic replicates the OEM shape 99%. They are the closest you'll get from a non-OEM part.

The picture was not right for mine either, but they were the right ones when they got to my house. The pics are mainly for examples. if they took pics for every differant color and model you would have hundreds of pics to go through.

No, this kit does not include the fuel tank. It will only include the 1 shroud for the tank, the side panels and the front and rear fender.

Why white plastic in stock arrivals changing?

Unfortunately we are at the mercy of the supplier/manufacture. In your situation white plastic is difficult to obtain for an 05 YZ125. I've personally waited a long time for white plastic on an '04. As to why the due dates keep changing, is because each plastic piece is ordered individually, and one piece might have made it, but not every piece did. We order each piece in and sell it as a discounted plastic kit. We can only be patient for these items to come in, as we have no control getting them into our warehouse any faster.
