Great Product
great for those muddy races were you dont want mud to pack itself in ever space possible and add that unwanted wieght. also good to put in your gas tank to help with fuel slosh. you will need more than 3 pieces to do so depending on your tank but will make a noticable difference when slamming the bike into a rut, you wont feel the pull from the gas sloshing to one side(most riders dont even feel it but once you ride with the foam you will know how bad the slosh is!!!) multi purpose foam!!!!!!

Does this absorb water?
If this absorbs water or is an open cell design, it would be bad for storage if not removed once cleaned of dirt adn mud, hence a sponge and aide to corriding frame, clamps etc

It's a open cell foam so the water should run straight through it.

How does and where does the helix skid plate (foam) fit a 2001 xr 70?

If you are running a skid plate it goes between the skid plate and the frame under the motor to keep mud and dirt from collecting between the frame and the skid plate .
