Do you really need a battery tender? YES!

A battery tender is a near requirement in the motorcycle world, especially with the technology involved with security systems on newer models which can drain your battery faster. Trust Battery Tender, there's nothing worse than ending a long week at work with the excitement overload that comes with a ride on your bike only to discover the battery is dead. Bottom line? You're going nowhere fast.

Let's face it, we all want to ride every day of the week but life does have its priorities. Unless you're like the people at Battery Tender and can work in the industry, excursions are probably scheduled weeks, even months out. And, if you live in areas of the country where snow and ice keep your bike dormant for a season, then you're going to encounter a dead battery. The fact is the best way to keep your battery charged is to ride your bike regularly but we know that can't always happen.

Prevent a Dead Battery

So, prevent a dead bike from ever happening by tending to your battery with the advanced charging system of the Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Worried about overcharging? Fear not, all Deltran Battery Tender chargers correctly charge a battery and automatically switch to maintenance / float mode.

  • Extend the life of your motorcycle's battery with the smart charging brain.
  • Designed to charge AGM, sealed maintenance-free, lead calcium and flooded batteries.
  • Complete four-step charging program: initialization, bulk charge, absorption mode, and float mode.
  • Battery Tender®'s 1.25 Amp will charge the battery in your motorcycle as fast or faster than any 3 amp charger on the market.
  • Temperature compensated to ensure optimum charge voltage according to ambient temperature.
  • The Battery Tender Plus monitors the charge and switches to float charging mode once peak charge is reached; absolutely no danger of overheating or overcharging.
  • Built-in reverse polarity protection to ensure user safety; red and green lights alternately flash in this condition..
  • Quick connect harness, helps with hard to reach areas.
  • A 10-year warranty.
  • Note: Charger does NOT meet California (where it CANNOT be sold) / Oregon appliance efficiency standards.

Very Nice

I had battery tender for my motorcycle several years ago which I loaned it to a friend which we know how that usually turns out. I never got it back and now that I have a new one, I am loving this very much. I switch it between two quads and it is great!!

Works great so far

I'm glad I finally bought this. I only had an old school trickle charger that I inherited and didn't trust, and I wanted the modern version. I love the interchangeable quick connect/alligator clips that you get with this model. I have the quick connect permanently wired to my quad, and used the alligator clips on my scooter. Very nice piece and fast shipping. I also saw it in a local store the next day for $10 more, so good job Motosport!

Excellent upgrade from trickle chargers

I bought this because I had heard great things about Battery Tenders, and saw it here at a great price. It was immediately put to the test when I bought a new battery that was not fully charged. The device recharged it enough within a few hours for it to crank an engine, and continued to charge the battery even while it was installed in my motorcycle. I am definitely impressed, and don't think there is a better product for this purpose. Also, it is the only charger that is deemed suitable by Shorai for their lithium-ion motorcycle batteries.

Great Buy!

Have had great results so far. Pretty simple, straight forward instructions. I wish the description would have mentioned that the kit also came with the quick connect wiring. I ended up buying the quick connect kit, now I have an extra set. No big deal, I will eventually use it on another bike.

The Battery Tender Plus (12v) has been one of my best investments. Sometimes a cold winter will sap your battery. Not with the BTP! My battery stays charged and I use it when I'm ready. This kit came with a quick disconnect that I permanently installed and runs to my gixxer's trunk. All I have to do is pop the trunk, unplug the safety cap, and connect!!! This is a must have for anybody with sportbikes, jet ski's, and/or project cars.

The difference is the type of battery you are trying to charge. Each option is designed and optimized only for that type of battery. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

I'm staying in singapore and our wall sockets are 230v.. Is the charger compatible and can it charge a lithium ion batt? riding 2012 cbr1000rr?

The Battery Tender plus is made for US standard 115v outlets. You will have to use a wall adapter if you wish to use it overseas.

This product is NOT designed for the Lithium batteries. They make a specific product Battery Tender® Lithium Junior for that.

I am sorry. We do not have an application except the 12v units that are used for motorcycle, ATV and street bikes.

I would suggest to contact the manufacturer directly for your application.

Hi, I'm in the Philippines and was wondering if voltage is 110 or 220v.

The voltage on this model is 110v. We do offer their international model which uses international universal input voltage technology and works anywhere in the world 100-240 AC Volts 50/60 Hz.

I wouldn't recommend charging more than 1 battery at a time with this trickle charger.
