• Renthal is in the buisiness of building championships and the R3 O-Ring chain has been an essential part of it.
  • The Renthal R3 O-Ring chain was developed to withstand the rigors of off road racing. Renthal accomplishes this by using a Nitrile O-ring to hold the special vacuum injected grease which also extends chain life dramatically.
  • Using shot-peened alloy steel for the side plates of the R3 O-Ring chain increases the tensile strength and maximizes the impact load resistance. Renthal uses gold colored outer side plates that prevents corrosion.
  • The R3 O-Ring chain is equipt with high carbon alloy steel bearing pins that further extend the life of the chain with its excellent resistance to wear.
  • Renthal pre-stretched the R3 O-Ring chain to enhance the performance during the most aggressive riding.

Best chain I've ever had
" This Renthal chain is the cleanest feeling, nicest chains I've ever layed my hands upon. It comes with 2 different type of master links, so don't be like me, and order one, because I ended up having 3 master links. D'oh. 10/10, will be purchasing again. "

Ok But Could Be Better
" The chain itself holds up well, ive been riding on it for about 30hrs and 1 race and i have not had to tighten the chain at all. The only complaint i have is that the color was worn off on the first day of riding. No more black at all and there is only a little gold visible. "

Doesn't fit, be careful
" This website said this o-ring chain would fit a 2007 KX250F but it's not even close. The chain is so wide it would hardly fit between the front sprocket and the trans casing. Some bikes are just not designed for an o-ring chain. This website has to do a better job in identifying those bikes. "

Strong as heck!
" I've taken this chain on over 250 miles of rocks, hills and mud and it's never skipped a beat. It's a very hard chain to install, and the finish does wear rather quickly, but hasn't stretched a bit or made me think it might be time to change it out in any way. I highly recommend it. "

Not a bad chain so far
" Not a bad chain overall unless you bought it for the gold plated exterior it rubbed off the first ride. But it didnt strech to bad. I would suggest spending the extra money on the D.I.D. "

" My only beef with this chain is the link width. It's wide enough that on my 08 CRF450R it rubs against the crankcase cover that I decided to take the chain off. Other than that, it's very long lasting and looks great. "

Chain with "good looks"
" Difently like the chain. The Renthal stamps on the gold side plates is a good touch. I ordered it a little too long. If that happens make sure to buy a chain breaker. Makes it so much easier. You can get them back together with out a press, at least I got mine on. Make the quad a little bit sharper. "

Tighten? Nah....
" Had the chain for 2 months. Rode about 40 hours on it and I have had to tighten yet. No squeals or squeaks like OEM chains. I used to have to tighten my OEM chain every 2 or 3 rides. Not this one. great chain. "
