Great boot!

These boots are wonderful! The sizing is very true, they're extremely comfortable, and they look great! I have a pair of tech 7's as well and I really don't see anything to drastic between the two boots. I truly think this is the best bang for your buck. No need to spend crazy money buy these and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Great boots!!!!

These boots are excellent and worth every penny! I wear a size 6.5 shoe and ordered a half size smaller and they fit perfect! They were very comfortable right out of the box. Wore them for the first ride and could not be happier with comfort and feel. Very easy to move around in and shift. Best pair of boots I have ever owned! Would highly recommend these!

Best Boots Ever.

These boots are amazing. They are very comfortable, light weight, and stylish. Ive only put about 4 rides on them, so cant comment on durability. But have held up so far. Great boots for the price.

Great Value

I've got about 20 hours in these boots. Just like any other boot, I had to break them in, but after that they've been great. The boots are rigid, but not so much that it restricts movement. I mostly trail ride, so these have had their share of being hit on rocks, etc., and they're holding up well. I didn't want to spend $500 on a pair of boots, but I also didn't want to get a cheap pair with poor protection. I think these boots are a good happy medium between cost and protection/functionality. I see no reason to switch to another boot, and I will probably stick with Alpinestars in the future.

I wear a size 12 Nike freerun, and these boots fit me well in size 12.

Good Boot For the Money

I finally got to wear these for the first time when I raced in a Hare Scramble yesterday, I was worried that they would be uncomfortable since I never got a chance to break them in before the race. I can honestly say I never thought about them once during or after the race, really impressed with how comfortable they are right off the bat. The single hinge seems to offer pretty good ankle flexibility while maintaining stability. The fit seems true to size, they offer decent protection, time will tell how well they hold up.

Tech-5 boots

Very good boots for the money. If youve previously had a cheaper pair of boots youll notice the higher quality once you wear these. Previous pair was only $100 as soon as i put these on i could tell the difference. Much more comfortable. Did have a short break in to make them more comfortable on a bike. very nice boots and very good looking boots

My First Dirt Bike Boot

This is my first dirt bike boot. After a few hours of using them, they broke right in and were very comfortable. They offer a lot of protection as well. I am size 10 and it was true to its size. Went from using work boots to these and in a ride or two, felt very comfortable with them. Was camping after riding with them and forgot I had them on for a few hours, if that says anything about the comfort.

Great boot for the price

Boots are a great price. Fit perfect. They look pretty good. Provides less protection then my old tech 8's. Plastic seems way softer. Otherwise decent boot for the price.

Alpinestars

Great boots, lots of bang for the buck, with many of the features of the higher end boots. Highly recommend if you want to spend less than $300 on a new set of boots.

I have been using Alpinestars for the last 17 years. Great boots; maybe these will last like the last pair did. I gave them a five in durability but it is to early to be able to tell.

Q: Can you guys contrast tech 3's and tech 5's ?
1 year 6 months ago
What do you guys prefer, tech 3 or tech 5, because I've been deciding on those 2 styles and I would just like to know a little bit more about both of them. I've seen some good and bad reviews on the tech 3's and I've seen only 3 out of 3 good reviews for the tech 5's. So I'm just curious about what info you guys might have?

A: Alpinestars wanted to offer a boot in between their entry level Tech 3 and their upper near pro level Tech 7. The Tech 5 is going to me much nearer to the Tech 7 in build and quality however there are a few differences. The buckles on the tech 5s are a polymer and aluminum buckle whereas the Tech 7 uses a full alloy buckle. The Tech 5 has a single Bio-mechanical pivot hinge on the Medial side (inner side of leg), the Tech 7 has a dual hinge. And the Material itself, the Tech 7 is going use multiple density with the Tech 5 using dual density. These are the main differences between the Tech 5 and the Tech 7. And again the new Tech 5 is going to be much more of a step up from the Tech 3 than a step down from the Tech 7.

A: There is a hinge on the ankle that makes the boot functional and comfortable. I would say there is plenty of ankle support. I'm not sure what you mean by "extra". I would say there is not extra but for a riding boot there is enough.
I hope this answers your question.
