Totally worth it

I noticed the difference in sound right away, I think it opened the bike up more on the bottom end. Definitely worth the buy, in my opinion it seems better than the fmf shorty that I had previously.

Great

Match this up with a pro circuit platinum pipe and your good to go. This is very easy to install. And looks great. Gives my yz125 a little bit more top end power. And it sounds amazing. Every time I start up my bike I smile.

Good silencer!

I have a pro circuit works pipe on my '04 RM250 which i bought secondhand. The bike came with a Pro Circuit spark arrester silencer which i rode with for a few months. I decided to finally get a motocross silencer and man! Not only is this Shorty about 2 lbs lighter than the spark arrester, it took the tame power band of the RM250 and gave it some hit! A little more on the bottom, but mostly noticed that the powerband actually "hits" now in the mid range. Noticed no difference on the top end but i barely get out of third gear on the local tracks anyway!

Pro Circuit Shorty Silencer

I bought this for my son's cr250 hoping that it would give a little more power at his hill climb competition, but didn't notice much difference at all from the forest approved spark arrester silencer.

Great pipe

this pipe is great, if you only or still have stock exhaust on your bike, if you buy this pipe you will notice a big difference in power. it has a nice sound to it, looks great on the bike and it was easy to install , i have this paired up with the pro circuit platinum pipe on my yz 85 ,,huge power gains. this just makes the bike rip even harder. great pipe, and in my opinion its better than fmf

Great Silencer BUT

great siencer lighter, louder, and gives it a bit more lower end grunt. the only problem is i need to re jet my carb because my jets are stock and its making me foul plugs quick so i would suggest getting a re jet kit with this silencer

Big improvement over stock

I bought this silencer for my 2007 CR 125 which I use for Hare Scrambles. It replaced the stock silencer which eventually started to sound beat up and "ratty", even with fresh packing.

Installation required a bit of shimmying to get things all in place, but it took no more than five minutes to install the silencer. The pipe seems to hold up very well to the abuse dealt by woods racing; soap, water and a sponge will restore the silencer to brand new condition. I haven't seen any dings or scratches from rocks, which I am sure have been hitting it.

The R-304 Shorty performs exactly as advertised, it increases power in the low end of the power band. The increase in power is very noticeable, and a big help for GNCC's and Hare Scrambles. If you race motocross, the regular R-304 would be a better choice for it's ability to increase power in the mid to top end.

Overall the R-304 Shorty silencer is an excellent choice for a two stroke silencer, it's lightweight, powerful, sounds great and is relatively inexpensive; and paired with the Pro Circuit Platinum pipe it works even better.

The best slincer i ever bought

I love the slincer. It gave my cr125r more power. The slincer is louder than stock but i love it. Never will regret buying this slincer.

Will not work on 2008 KX100

This silencer will not work on a 2008 KX100 . Thats the only reason it gets one star for installation cause it don't fit . I liked it just couldn't use it . This silencer is made to come around the right side of the bike mine goes around the left side .

Silencer 2012 yz125

Swapped out stock silencer for this one. Lighter than stock and gives it a little more power down low. Really nice sound also. Mates up nicely to stock pipe. Overall very happy with this.

A: Yes you shouldn't have any problems matching it up to an FMF pipe. However fitment between manufactures can not be guaranteed.

I have a stock 2016 kx 100 and I'm looking the get the r304, will I need to rejet my bike in order to have the r304 on it?

A: No, you likely will not need any changes. Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this PC silencer. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.

Q: Shorty or regular?
1 year 3 months ago
I ride a 2014 KTM 250 XC-W (E-start) I mainly ride tight wooded trails and cross country enduro. I love the bottom end on the bike (stock exhaust at the moment) should I get the regular sized R304 or the shorty? Also was wondering if the silencer will fit on the stock expansion chamber? will most likely upgrade to the Platinum 2 pipe in time, or should I just buy the full system all at once to avoid more rejetting?
MotoSportExpert

A: The Shorty will give you more throttle response and low end power. Because it's smaller you'll see even more weight savings and a louder sound level. The Pro Circuit Factory 304 Silencer Improves top-end power. If you are riding in areas that require a U.S. Forest Service approved spark arrestor you would want to go with the Pro Circuit Type 296 Spark Arrestor.
Fitment with the stock pipe can not be guaranteed, but you shouldn't have a problem. And as far as jetting It would really depend on your location (altitude/temperature) and how your bike is running with the current jetting.
Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Q: If I bore out my cr85 with pro circuit r-304 pipe and silencer will it need re jeted?

A: Most likely you will need to re-jet. There is not a specific setting I could give you for jetting your bike. It would really depend on your location (altitude/temperature) and how your bike is running with the current jetting. Jetting can be very tricky, there isn't one setting that will work everywhere with every bike. I would recommend taking your bike to a local motorcycle dealership’s service department to have your bike properly jetted.
