Awesome

I bought this top end kit for my 07crf250r after the bike got hot and burned up the rings. It had a high compression piston already so I wanted to keep it the same. I had never been into my bikes engine until then. Following the shop manual along, the installation was a breeze. The bike pulls harder than before, and throttle response is amazing. If you want your bike to have a little extra pep then this piston is for you. If I had to rebuild another I would use this top end kit again. No complaints here! Lovin it!

i blew a head gasket and decited to put in this kit cuz it comes with everything...i had put this same kit in a year ago, but when i pilled the piston out it was a JE not the PC. maybe this new kit will have the pro comp piston and not the JE.

Good investment

I put this piston in my CRF450R. That thing rips, all RPM ranges. If you can't get a hole shot with this in your bike, its the pilots fault not the bikes. It does tend to be a little bit more sensitive about the octane of the fuel though.

Great power for the $

Installed and noticed instant power gains. Good bang for the buck. Made the bike a little harder to start though. But still very satisfied.

Just what the doctor ordered

Materials and workmanship are good. I found the piston skirt diameter to be on the low end of the OEM new spec. We replaced a long overdue OEM piston on my kids '06 RMZ250, so this new setup, with the added compression, made a noticeable difference.
Watch the oil rings during assembly, I found I had to pay close attention, more so than usual, to holding the rings (by hand, no special tool here) in the groove when sliding the cylinder over it...almost bent a brand new ring.

This is a great product to purchase if your going to race your bike or just ride on the weekends with a couple friends, it offers great low end as well as top end power and is very durable. I would say by far this is the best pistion i have ever purchased.

Great kit!

This kit comes complete and had no fitting problems at all just set ring gap and go. Makes good power ive tried other pistons and they make good power but actually had 1 come apart.

A: No you would not need any additional modifications. Pro Circuit High-Compression Pistons work equally well in stock or modified engines giving you more power at every rpm.

Q: Is it necessary to re-map my 2010 crf450r if I install this piston?

A: You should not need to Re-Jet your bike with this piston as long as your jetting is correct for your location (altitude/temperature) now. You should be safe to install the piston kit and run your bike then make adjustments from there. If your bike is currently jetted properly you should only need to make minor adjustments if any at all.
