I have only had to use this once so far but it is so much eaiser than having to grind and use a screwdriver like i was first using lol

Unbelievable tool!!!!!! I used this for the first time today and it works extremely well. So simple to use, you lock it on the chain, turn the plunger and it pushes the pin right out. You don't need a vise, you can use the tool right on the bike if you want, thats what I did. 3 minutes and the chain was apart!!! Unreal. Beats the old grind the peen off the pin method for sure. This tool does a few functions, but I only used it to break 2 chains so far. I'm sure whatever else it does is just as easy.
Works very well!
Much better than Motion Pro's cheaper chain tool.
Presses and rivits 520 chains with ease.
Plus the base is some kind of forged steel, much heavier duty than their cheaper tool's cast base.
Should have bought THIS one in the first place!
Top notch! ;-)
Great tool, used in a shop. Easy to use and speeds up chain replacements.
Motion pro never fails
I purchased this slightly concerned that it might not be good enough quality, I like good tools that I can buy once and never buy again. I also needed something compact and able to break a chain without grinding the heads off of the pins. This thing is the bomb. I read the instructions, didn't need to. It's literally so simple! Broke my old chain easily and removed the pin from the new chain with minimal effort, riveting was easy as well. I have used clip master links on all of my bikes and had a few failures, so now I'm trying out rivet links. This tool helped me make the decision as it will be in my tool kit for trail side repairs if needed. It's quality, simple and not as expensive as some of the other high end chain breakers.
Hands down this is the best chain tool I have ever used, and I've used quite a few. Never once had to struggle with keeping the tool lined up or it falling off the chain while using as I've had the issue with others. It took me longer to route the chain than the P.B.R. Process. Well worth every penny and will last you a lifetime I'm sure as long as it's maintained properly!
This is a great tool easy to use and well made will work over and over if you use it right will last you a life time spend the extra money I'm glad I did it does it all. PBR. Press. Brake . Rivet line up the letter on the block with the same letter on tool to do what you want to do its that easy
Very easy to use , just follow the way read to read instruction sheet. Makes fitting a new chain a quick and easy job , beats getting a grinder out. Packs up in a nice storage box
Tool is a great multi function chain tool. Forget having to have multiple tools, or multiple parts and pieces, simple flip the anvil to the proper setting and press the chain, break the chain, or rivet the chain. P.B.R. much better than the beer, and well worth the $$.
I have used a dozen or so tools over the years to break and then install chains and every one of them was problematic in some way. After being ignorant for so long, I decided to walk a slightly more appropriate path and I bought the PBR. Wow! This tool makes changing drive chains so easy that you could instruct a six-year-old on the finer points and leave him/her to it! The only issue is the rough handle; if you have been using your hands all day doing maintenance, it can abrade the palms easily. Just wear work or nitrile gloves and you will be fine. I HIGHLY recommend this tool to anyone who rides chain-driven bikes or needs to maintain chains of a similar size and design.
As long as you follow directions. You will have on problems. 530 DID chains can be bit difficult. But that's because of the high quality chain. You will not be disappointed in this product.
Best all in one chain tool I've used to date. This tool is a must have for anyone working on their own bikes.
I have several specialty tools from Motion Pro and have been happy with all of them. That was partially why I chose this chain tool. Another factor is that I like to buy things once - and this seemed like it would fill the bill.
I have only used it once so far (to install Renthal 520 R3 O-Ring chain) so hard to comment on longevity, but seems to be very sound. Worked flawlessly for my one use.
The PBR makes chain install and removal so easy that anyone can do it. Of course, anyone can do it, but this tool eases every part of the process. You will never need another chain tool.
It's true you get what you pay for and with this Chain Breaker I am very happy with my purchase. This tool holds up very well and is 1000 times better than the first 20 dollar one I bought.
I previously had another tool similar to this. It work great until I lent it to a friend. Never got it back and so had to buy another. The reviews on this seemed really good so I decided to buy this one instead of the same thing I previously had.
This tool is very straight forward and works great. The only thing that I wish is that the magnet that holds to breaker/press and pin plate was a little stronger. Other than that it works awesome and small and compact.
Worked exactly as described. Simple and easy to use.
I bought this chain breaker cause I've seen a couple.before and they all work great I love that u can put this in a vise great purchase
Bought this to do the chain on my 2010 kx 450 f with o ring chain. It works great and looks very nice! Comes with a nice case to for travel!
