Good fit

Pricey but it has a nice finish, fits perfect and has good hardware. Bought this for a CRF250x because I just wanted to protect the case from rocks flying up without adding weight.

Serves its purpose

The Glide plate was a lot smaller that I thought on my bike, fit was pretty good, but the Glide plate does the job it was made for.

Almost cancelled this order to get the full coverage crf450r version. Glad I didn't, this one looks better. Also installed the matching left side (oil filter) guard. Very light, great low profile fit, and looks sick.

Lightspeed Glideplate

It looks awesome! and unlike other skid and glide plates its really easy to put on and take off...which is nice when changing oil to be able to just take it off real fast. It's a little more pricey but i think its worth it.

Great look!

easy install, great look, but doesnt feel as strong as the works connection plate. Great buy for the money! try it the plate has a carbon fiber look and matches great if you have black plastics on your bike.

A little pricey but ver strong!

i ran this on my 06 yz450f for 3 years. the skid plate held up very well since i put it threw everything. the only thing i ddont like is that if your gonna pay 105 bucks for it, its almost better to just get the aluminum 1 which will last 4 ever and is only a little more. other than that, great product. will deffinatly last and is by far the lightest skip plate!!!

we run this on our 06/07 yz 125. it does not fit a 08/09 four stroke. this is the best yamaha two stroke skid plate for racing , but dont buy this for your four dont fit.

Is the plate just as durable or more durable than an aluminum one?

No, carbon fiber is lighter but generally not as durable as aluminum.

Will it be necessary to use the mounting hardware provided?
for a 2013 kx450f, the bike comes stock with a chinsy plastic roost guard which is held on by four bolts that thread into tiny mounts welded to my frame. will the plate specific for my bike be pre-molded to where i will be able to just bolt onto the stock mounts or will it be necessary to use the hardware provided in order to mount the skid plate on my 2013 Kawasaki Kx450F?

This skid plate for your 2013 KX450 will use the stock mounting locations used with the stock skid plate. The mounting hardware is required for the models that are not equipped with a skid plate from the factory.

Does it cover both frame rails completely or does it fit in between the rails?

Does this one plate really fit all these bikes?
I see under the Bikes this Part Fits link that this Glide Plate I looked up for a 2004 KX250 will fit a lot of other bikes. Is this accurate information? It says it fits yamaha, honda, kawi, etc 2 stroke and four stroke over a couple of years. Is this all for the one plate or is it different part numbers?

These are bike specific and I do carry it for a 04 KX250. So as long as you profile your bike correctly you will get the correct part.
