Product Description

Galfer's standard brake line kits are anything but standard. They start off by using high quality machined banjo fittings and bolts. Kits are bike-specific and are tailored to each bike for perfect fit and finish. Unlike many other manufacturers, Galfer pre-positions their banjo fittings for an out-of-the-box fit. But, if you need to fine-tune them, you can adjust their position.

Most of their brake line kits come with labels on the lines to help guide you on which end goes where, something not found with any other manufacturer today. Galfer also offers a lifetime guarantee against any manufacturing defects.

  • Braided stainless steel casing has clear covering to protect both the line and the bike.
  • PTFE 62 Teflon liner creates zero expansion effect, translating into a stronger, more progressive brake action.
  • Rear Kit includes everything necessary to replace rear brake lines.
  • All kits include banjo bolts and washers (torque to 17 - 20 ft-lb.), and complete installation instructions.
  • Lines are individually labeled to avoid confusion.
  • Limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

Big improvement over stock

These lines eliminate the flex that is found the the stock lines. It makes the pedal feel alot firmer. I dont know why I didnt buy these sooner.

Great Galfer!

I recently changed brake lines on. Both my 2000 kx250 and my 2011 YZ450F. Both stop great now, without the expense of purchasing g oversized brake kits. Very easy to install and everything is Included, with the exception of Brake fluid.

Easy brake upgrade.

Great product and not to mention the low price, easy to install, any home mechanic can do it. You instantly feel the difference and when combined with the Galfer brake pads even better. Would recommend to anybody who needs to service their brakes anyways.

+4 +4 more you get a little extra rear brake line

I don't know what they consider stock length is. lets just say these are not too short. Looks like good quality. Easy to install. not much of a description to find the right length for adding a +6 over on a swingarm.

Great performance brake line

This brake line works perfectly! The reason I purchased this line was because my rear brake was spongy and tried a few things to try fixing it (new Braking pads, master cylinder rebuld, complete system flush, and vacuum bleed) and ended up with a tiny hole in the line. I was skeptical about ordering an aftermaket line with other reviews saying that the line was too long and the rubbed the shock and/or exhaust. I installed it on a 2007 crf250r and it fit just like the stock line so no complaints there. I bought the galfer line over the ride engineering one because this one came with new banjo bolts and washers. They work and fit fine but the bolt head is slightly bigger than stock and you cant get a socket on it as well as clear the master cylinder (at least on the honda) so I had to take the master cylinder off and use a wrench to tighten the banjo bolt. That was my only complaint, but not a biggie. I have several rides on it now and compared it to my buddy's '06 crf250r with stock brakes and there is a not drastic but noticeable difference in stopping power.

How long is the total length of this brake line?
Expert MotoSport Staff
14 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The length of the line would depend completely on the bike/atv the line is made to fit. The line would be 4" longer than the stock rear brake line on your bike.

Length of line for 98 Suzuki RM250?
Length of line for 98 Suzuki RM250?
MotoSport Staff Expert

I do not have an exact measurement for the length of this line for your 1998 Suzuki RM250, but it would be made to the same specifications as the OEM line so it should be the same length as the stock rear brake line on your bike.

What is the overall length of the line including the connector ends?
MotoSport Staff
Over 12 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
To determine the length, I would need a model to use as an example since they will vary in length.

Extended brake lines?
where can i find the 6'' extended brake lines i would like to order one
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland
If you search for " Brake Line " in the seach box on the upper left of your screen it will bring up all the brake lines that we stock. If you dont see them then you probably have your bike profiled and they do not fit your model. We offer +6 and +10 Galfer lines.
busacraft8 Over 5 years ago
