WOW!

This exhaust silencer is about the best you can get.She sounds mean! It makes it even better when you hook it up with a fatty pipe.Definetly felt the difference in power and powerband.Very durable. The fatty and powercore 2 have been on my 280cc 2002 Yamaha blaster for 2 years! Well worth it!

Works as it should

This silencer really works good i was going to get a shorty but I decided to go with the powercore2 because I do more woods riding. I love it because it made my power band on my KTM more snappy with out being to much for the woods.

Used as a replacement for stock

The stock exhaust on my sons PW50 was damaged and I replaced it with this aftermarket silencer. No power gains since I only have the silencer. I do plan on getting the fatty pipe but this silencer fits well with the stock header.

Power Improved

This really smoothed out the power and response on a 1997 RM250, and it also added a little more power...HIGHLY RECOMMEND

2002 CR250 Excellent Fit

Great aftermarket silencer. Sounds beautiful! I installed with with a new Fatty pipe and got a great power increase across the power band. The rear-most attaching bracket rubs a little on the rear fender, but other than that, absolutely perfect fit.

I Installed the Power core 2 on my Rm 125 because I already had a fmf pipe and I needed to match. I got the regular one because I felt like the shorty's were too loud and I was concerned about loosing top. Not expecting much of a difference I was actually pleasantly surprised when I noticed a small gain in the Mid / Bottom and no noticeable loss of top / overrev. The power core 2 is about an inch shorter overall then the stock muffler, just FYI, and has a sweet exhaust note. Not to Raspy and loud. BRRAAAAPP.

The FMF Shorty pipe is a good race pipe. If you're looking for a cheap pipe and dont mind it being loud this would be a good pipe for you. Also i would suggest getting it tuned as far as jetting goes with the pipe. You can go without it and be fine but you won't be running nearly any back pressure. Thats the reason why i didnt give it 5 stars. If you jet your bike right you shouldn't have a problem with the "lag" i got up top in the rev range. Again, this is a loud pipe. It isn't insane if you keep fresh packing foam in it but if your not up for replacing it, it will sound like you have a can as a slip on. Loud, Raspy, and obnoxious. With the packing foam it sounds great though!! Wouldnt recommend it for woods riding. Good for MX.

Does this exhaust have a spark arretor?
Expert MotoSport Staff

No, The FMF "Powercore 2" does not have a Spark Arrestor, it is a designed for closed course racing. FMF does also make the "Turbinecore 2" that does have a spark arrestor and is approved for riding trails and off-road.

This silencer is specifically made for the 2009 KTM 50SX model but unfortunately FMF does not offer a silencer for your 2004 KTM 50 Pro Jr.

Do i need the fmf fatty pipe?
do i need the fmf fatty pipe or can i just buy this and hook it up to my stock pipe if so will it still gain more power in the bottom end?
Expert MotoSport Staff
3 months 17 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
You would be able to use this with either the Stock head pipe or an FMF head pipe. You would see some performance gains from this as it will give you more efficient exhaust flow but really most of the power gains will come from changing out the head pipe. We do also sell a combo that includes both the pipe and silencer.

Hi does the fmf pipe come with gasket and clamp to fit to the other part of the exhaust?
MotoSport Staff Expert
3 months 19 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
You would need to replace those with the OEM gasket and clamp as they are not included with the FMF silencer. Here is a link to the OEM diagrams for those items: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem-parts/YAMAHA/2002/PW80/EXHAUST

No, when these are ordered for a Yamaha Banshee, they are sold as a pair. Please make sure to profile your ATV correctly when ordering as these are model specific.

I have a 100cc 2 stroke mfc (motorized fun company) bike need a pipe need to know if i can get one of these that fit?
MotoSport Staff
Over 9 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Unfortunately none of the exhaust manufacturers that we sell are going to produce an exhaust for your MFC 100. Your best option is going to be to possibly modify an exhaust from another bike to fit.

Rejetting?
If I put this and the FMF SST on my 2000 cr125 do I have to rejett? If so where can I find out how much?
MotoSport Staff
Over 9 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
It will really depend if the bike has already been re-jetted. It may need it or it may not, but that would be dependent upon the current jetting. To obtain the correct jetting you could contact FMF directly and discuss your location and elevation you will be riding at and they can recommend a jetting specification with that information. FMF can be reached at (310) 631-4363.

Fmf powercore 2 silencer for a ktm 50 sx mine?
looking to add a new silencer to my sons bike 11' ktm 50 sx mine he dose race it looking to add more power for him is this silencer a good fit for the bike ????
MotoSport Staff
Over 11 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Yes this would be a good silencer for your 2011 KTM50. It will bolt right and and can you can use it with your stock pipe. It will not add an incredible amount of power, but you will gain some power and it will have better throttle response too. There should be no need to re-jet either, if the bike is currently jetted properly.

What accessories come with this silencer?
MotoSport Staff
1 year 1 month ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This Silencer doesn't have any accessories included. Some models may have a rubber grommet supplied where it mounts, but most typically use the original hardware and rubber mounts.
