Nothing beats a new set of skins

I drive a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R. I was able to squeeze 7,000 miles out of the tires, though they were way over due and very unsafe.
These new Dunlop tires ride like a dream. I haven't really pushed them to their limit yet, but so far they handle very well. After riding on a bad set of stock tires it has altered my riding perception. I am starting to trust these new tires and put them through some moves. It feels great to weave in and out of traffic jams with confidence. The new tires have really elevated my driving experience.
A really important factor that I forgot to mention is that these tires are made in AMERICA. As an American I feel it is my duty to buy as many American products that I can afford. Americans should support Americans......it's the American way!!

Best tires to date!

I have ridden on Dunlops all my life. These are by far THE best yet.
The heat up quickly, I feel no sidewall flexing when I pitch it into a corner. I do not drive this bike in the rain so I can not help with a wet tire review, but dry conditions, this tire is FANTASTIC

Dunlop Q3

These are some of the best all around tires. For doing track days, riding wheelies or just an evening cruise. I'd suggest to anyone the Dunlop Q3.

Track or road best this side of race take offs

Have these on ktm 625 supermoto , both fz09s and my buddy's sv 1000, no question we'll be replacing with the same. balance well, very good traction even before reaching operating temp,
heat cycle well without getting hard after 30 rides or so like others,
But we also have to replace after about 1500 miles, so ask yourself what you want,,,, hard and slippery (aka chicken strips)..... or soft and sticky with a limited life expectancy
some things in life are worth the money.... if your reading this your looking at one

Made my CB919 feel like a brand new bike

Got these tires in two days from Motosport, had the m installed at a local shop. Bike corners harder, sticks to the road, and feels stable on all surfaces. Even in the rain the Q3s grip. Love these Tires, will buy again.

They're q3's

Not much else to say if you want a better street tire you have the supercorsa but you pay more and get less mileage. These actually do alright in the rain too, I've only taken it easy in the wet though..

Dunlop Q3 Set

Best Deal online on this Dunlop Q3 set!
First set of Dunlop's on my 2009 Ducati 848 (after years on Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's).
Very solid performance and grip in the corners, heard they last a bit longer than the Pirelli's too.

GREAT TIRE....one small complaint

In the rating section I said I WOULDNT recommend these to a friend, what I meant was I would recommend something over them, but explain why. Stability in cornering is amazing, seems like the CF infused sidewalls helps, HOWEVER....I do a lot of highway driving, and our highways around here have 30 meter concrete slabs for the base, and they shift at the joints causing spawls in the road...so in a car on a road that's say 3+years old you'll hear and feel a "bu-bump, bu-bump" every few seconds. In a car its not so bad...but on a bike, its annoying to say the least, and I felt like the stiffness of the Q3s amplified the feedback, making it more annoying...and actually getting me POed on the larger bumps. Previous tires were Bridgestone S20, which I loved, traction was awesome, especially in the wet... I got the Q3s all excited for them because of the stability and CF....if you def feel you need the stability/conformity advantage, I WOULD recommend you try these Q3's. But with my highway driving and the condition of the highways on my main commute to and from work, I'll probably go with the new S20 pros. Either tire lasts me about a year-year and a half so, it will work out perfect as I'm actually gonna be one of the people rebuilding the largest stretch of highway that's messed up on my work commute this summer, and we redid two other problem section last year...so next summer I could probably switch back to Q3s.lol Although for me, the we advantage is a plus so...do what ya like, that's just my experience

Dunlop sport tires

Bought these for my Ducati 796 as these are very good tires for this bike. Delivery time was easy and Motorsport was the only company advertising Dunlops rebate program. They even sent a reminder not to forget to send it in.

Perfect for the money

For the money you cant go wrong, I used them on my sv650 race bike for a track day, didnt use the tire warmers on them like I would normally would on the pirelli diablo supercorsas but they stuck very very well for being a street/track tire, used about 3/4 of the tread for 1 day at the track.. will buy again..

Aggressive riders?

This is my second set of Q3's. In my opinion, they are the best tire for aggressive street riders. They feel extremely stable at extreme lean angles. Very predictable tire and have fairly decent wear for how sticky they are.

Sportmax Q3

I have only put about 80miles on these so far. I came from Pilot Road 3's and the difference is night and day. I can feel the road and the suspension significantly better now and these tires warm up very quickly and get super sticky!

Q: How does this tire compare to Michellin Road 4 to use basic street riding? I have a 2011 Ducati 848?
1 year 8 months ago
I have been riding michellin pilot power on my old 2006 gsxr and they were great. Just bought a 2011 ducati 848 with battleax tires I hate. Looking for a smooth ride that has decent cornering ability. I commute to work on the highway about 50 miles a day during summer time in Boston. These two tires seam to come up time and time again as best fit for me.

A: This is not a basic street riding tire, this is a tire designed for the track and modified for street life: harder center compound and water grooves. Longevity is not a consideration with this tire, traction is; that said I've gotten 6k miles out of a set when used on a 600 but 1500 miles on a 1000. If you want to ride hard on the track (or twisties) and use the same bike for riding around town, these are your tires. If you race only, there are better options, and if you commute only, there are better options. This is the ideal tire for the weekend warrior.

Q: Are these tires good for lean angle or cornering? Also is the profile steeper than the michelins. I like an aggressive tire that has a quick turn in?

A: Yes the Dunlop's Carbon Fiber Technology (CFT) uses carbon fiber reinforcement in the tire sidewalls for exceptional cornering performance and feel. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

A: perhaps a little sharper than the pilot sportmax. found them to be friendlier, softer, and overall better than Michelin's.
have ridden sportmax at the track for years but i prefer these on the road and for limited track days, not as many choices on heat ranges as track tires, but these are not as picky about being up to temp before they hold power

A: The Dunlop Sportmax Q3 Tires are all "Z" rated tires. The tires would be rated for up to 150+ MPH.

Q: Will a rear tire size 200/50ZR17 fit within the stock swingarm of a 98 TL1000R?

A: We have the stock tire sizes listed for most all models on our website. Please be sure that you have the proper machine in your “shopping for” selection. We do NOT have a listing of alternative sizes available for your machine. We suggest staying with the stock sizing as changing the size can cause issues with handling, reliability, rubbing and could have adverse effects on performance.

Q: How do these compare with the Q2's or a softer compund Michelin?
Ryno

A: Same tire as the Q2. The Q3 added carbon fiber to the bead/sidewall to better stiffen it, and reshaped the profile (roundness) to specs they gleaned from being the AMA and Moto2 spec tire. Will you and I notice the difference? Hardly. Is it the best sport tire available from Dunlop? Absolutely. It is an upgrade over the Q2.

Is there any warranty on any type of road hazards like nails or things like this on the tire?

A: Unfortunately these tires do not carry a warranty for road hazard or puncture damage.

A: Unfortunaletly no, Dunlop does cover for manufacturing defects, and craftsmanship only. I have picked up a nail on the 405 and had to do a patch. Held up fine for a few thousand miles until it was time to change the tires.but dunlop would not cover on warranty.
