On a 2014 crf450, will I need to have it remapped? Or will it be okay to run on the stock map?

A: You do not need to remap unless modifications have been made to the intake system

I have the aluminum / carbon tipped system. Even not being the fully carbon fiber type you still can't insert spark arrestors. That seems a mistake by Yoshimura, looks like business has to go to FMF then.

A: Generally when installing a full system you will need to re-program.

A: No, The Yoshimura RS-9D Exhaust Systems are intended for closed course use only, there is not a spark arrestor insert made for this exhaust. Actually most full carbon can's are not going to be Forest Service approved due to the fact that running a spark arrestor in a full carbon can is not recommended. When you run a spark arrestor in a full carbon fiber muffer the heat tends to build up and burn up the packing quickly. I would recommend looking at the FMF Factory 4.1 RCT Dual Exhaust with the Megabomb Header. The FMF exhaust would come with a Forrest Service Approved Spark Arrestor Insert.

A: There is not a Spark Arrestor insert that would work for this exhaust. Actually Yoshimura does not recommend that you run a spark arrestor in full carbon fiber cans as it decreases the packing life significantly which will also decrease the life of the Carbon Fiber. If you are looking to run a spark arrestor I would recommend looking for an exhaust that is constructed of titanium or aluminum.
