the product is built very good, the paint is good. but there are 4 dipples where they over tighten the screws. I'm not too worried about it but i wouldn't order another one for a different bike.

the part look with on the pool table, but on the b ke its yellow. Motosport had no issues with returning but I had to give them the part number for the part that does match the bike. also they charge my account in full insted of the the different in the parts. the service reps were slow in getting back with me and only seem to make any effort when I initiated
has a good tight fit on the bike, had to pant it to match my bike, but worth it for how cheep it was.
Both the color match and the fit are rather poor. I should really return it but I threw out the return form. Like they say you get what you pay for. I could probably tweak the fit and have it repainted and it would probably still be less than the BMW part ($348 plus $43 for the mounting hardware). If MotoSport reads this review maybe they could send me another return form. You could argue that my alpine white may have faded because the bike is a 2010 but when I was at the dealer today they actually had the OEM part in stock and the fit and color match were dead on.
I purchased this item for my 2006 Yamaha R6S. The order was processed and quickly sent out. Which reflects Motosports service. The cowl was received cosmetically good, some very small blemishes, but is OK. The rubber seat bumper is another story, one the screws holding the piece to the cowling were not screwed into the rubber and there was some glue residue showing. After fixing this flaw, I proceeded to mount to the bike. I found that the seat cowl did not fit snugly to the bike, in fact it rattled like crazy. After looking between the original seat and the cowling I found a cracked spacer/bumper that would keep the cowling in place. It really looked like a flaw in the plastic molding of the underside. With a little foam I was able to fix this problem.
Overall, the product was inexpensive , and the old adage goes, "You get what you pay for". I will be, in the future very leery of Yana Shiki parts!
I got this cowl for my 2005 yamaha R6 I bought the unpainted cowl knowing It would need some work most after market parts do. The cowl for this bike fits very nice and tight it does need minor body work not a big deal for me because I work in a body shop but for the rest of you it all depends on how picky you are this is a good cowl for the price I like it I'm happy with it just remember this review is based on my yamaha I don't know if this is consistent with any other bikes One more thing the cowl is nothing like the picture mine was different but still looks nice
Let me start off by saying the shipping and customer service through motosport was excellent.
I bought this cowl for my 06 CBR 600rr. The product itself was disgusting. The cowl looks nothing like pictured. It does not have the rubber piece is not on the top. The paint and finish was horrible. There were little dents and imperfections throughout the cowl. The worst part was the the bottom piece that connected to the bike and the plastic cowl. The screws didnt hold it together at all. every time I tried to take off the cowl, the bottom piece would stay locked on the bike. I recommend a different cowl.
