TrailTech 33oz Flywheel

Nice machined heavy flywheel. Works as advertised and smooths out power down low. Great for single track woods riding. First flywheel I received was defective and more then likely indexed wrong. After a quick call to TrailTech I received a RMA number and had a new replacement mailed to me after they received my defective flywheel.

Q: Which weight would be ideal for semi hard dirt drag racing for the CRF450R stroked engine, would like a good balance of a good launch and able to hit max rpms as fast as possible. Currently the motor has a lot of torque due to the stroker crank, any ideas

A: Typically a heavier one would be ideal for hard dirt track racing. +15oz would be a good start, however not guaranteed that it will give you the power you're looking for.

I have an '04 Honda CRF 450. The options are 15, 21 or 33oz flywheel. I'm not sure which one to order for trail riding. Please help.

Does this kit, include a new gasket? Also, I am considering this flywheel because I stahl my 2008 crf450r on tight trails and am hoping this will help. What is the stock flywheel weight on my bike and what would be the best choice of weight for the new one? Thanks.

A: The 25oz would be +9oz over stock for your 2008 Honda CRF250R (6141L-25). Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Q: Are any mods needed to the ignition cover?
I've heard certain flywheel weights are too big to clear the cover and modifications are needed. does this 33oz flywheel weight for my 03 crf450r clear the cover fine? and what is the stock flywheel weight? when i click between 15oz and 33 oz they both say + instead of one minus and one plus

A: No modifications would be needed on your 2003 Honda CRF450R. This would be +13oz (6140L-35) and +11oz (6140L-33). More info and instructions can be found here:
