Let me start out by saying that everyone's head is different and a large part of helmet comfort is how the shape of your head fits the shell of the particular brand of helmet. That being said, I tired two different Adv. style helmets before the X2 and I wish I had bought the X2 first. The X2 liner is typical Shoei which is very comfortable and easily removed for cleaning. The helmet is reasonably quiet and the shield functions fine in full up, full down and slightly open positions. Air ventilation is good and the visor design minmializes buffeting from the wind which was a major issue on one of the other Adv. helmets I had tried. Fit and finish are typical Shoei which I believe to be outstanding. The weight isn't the lightest but I really didn't experience and fatigue in my neck on an 8-10 hour day on a recent 5 day, 1400 mile ride out West. My X2 made the ride a more pleasurable experience.

Overall very happy with this purchase. The material is top quality you can really feel in an accident this will do it's job of protection. It's a little heavy so be prepared to stretch out your neck on long rides. Venting is also very well built into the sleek design of the helmet. I'm never too hot or sweaty. On cold nights it takes awhile to fog the thick wind screen. Which is a great bonus. Peripheral vision and line of site is fantastic. Can see all around you. Noise is almost non existent. Fits very comfortable and soft inside with long lasting thick padding. Could not feel safer whenever I put this helmet on.
I have owned Aria and Shoei helmets before, and this is the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. One might refer to it as the Cadillac or Ferrari of helmets, But I say it is both! I did my research on the helmet before purchasing , and was a little bit thrown off by one you tube video I saw stating that the aerodynamics where off on the helmet and this caused ones head to shake side to side at hwy speeds. I have rode speeds from 0-115mph and have had no such issue. Perfect fit per head size in there sizing chart. This helmet is so perfectly balanced I will be using it for both street and MX use.
I'm very pleased with this helmet, I've been riding with Shoei helmets for years as they just fit my head. The Hornet X2 is the best of the bunch
I'm amazed at how quite it is, the viisor works great, no lift at speed, the windscreen stays up and out of my vision when pushed up to the highest position. The finish of the helmet is excellent and it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn.
I bought this size L Hornet X2 Seeker helmet to replace my older Hornet XD which got destroyed in a motorcycle crash last spring. I owe my life to the Hornet XD that I was wearing in that crash so why not another Shoei? I don’t like buying something like a helmet online because the fit is so important, but since Motosport was offering a great deal on the Seeker I took a chance and ordered one. The price was great, their return policy is excellent and they shopped it to me in just a few days.
When I pulled my new Hornet X2 out of the box I was quite impressed with the finish, quality and features. Trying it on, it was quite difficult to get it over my ears and on my head, but once on it was a snug, secure fit, just like my old XD.
I wore the X2 on a short ride to make sure all is okay and then wore it on a 350 mile ride. Basically the fit is good but a couple times I experienced some pressure on my forehead. Since that ride I bought a thinner 5mm liner which should give me a bit more room.
With the face shield shut the helmet seemed to be fairly quiet but that’s hard to tell since I wear ear plugs. But one of my problems with this helmet is the face shield. I can’t crack it open a tiny bit to stop face shield fogging, I can only open it about 1” to the first detent. I'd rather not use the pinlock shield because of nighttime limitations so this is important to me. And my other problem is lack of ventilation. The chin vent and brow vents are small and don’t let in very much air and they are also difficult to operate.
Overall this is a very nice helmet and I have no regrets in buying it. I expect with a bit more time on my head I will get used to this helmet. And you can’t beat the price, terms and great service that Motosport offers.
Fits great, great visibility and the pin lock face shield never fogs up. Nice and quiet and the visor doesn't get hung up in the wind.
