I have not been very impressed with scorpions face shield. The quick release is nice one you figure out how to use it, but I have had to replace the face shield twice because they scratch way to easy. I was just trying to clean of little kid finger prints from the inside of the shield and scratched it all up. The anti fog coating is hit or miss, you might get a shield that it works on or you might get a shield that it hardly works at all. I have bought three shields total one gold and two clears. Don't spend the extra money for the colored shields the color rubs off way to easy. I say colored because they don't add that much tint or filter out different colors light like sunglasses do.
I've had my Scorpion EXO 1100 helmet for a while now so naturally the shield needed to be replaced. The great thing about Scorpion helmets is how easy they make it to take the shield off so switching the old one out for the new was no prob. I went from having a clear shield to a tinted one and couldn't be happier about it. I can wear this shield in any condition, day or night and see just fine. I think Scorpion claims to have an anti-fog and rain beading solution on their helmet shields but you wouldn't know it. These shields fog up pretty easy, but it's a cheap fix. After coating the outside of the shield with RainX and the inside with an anti-fog solution the shield performs just great!
Was a cinch to change out shields thanks to Scorpion's shield change mechanism. Very good product, Scorpion anti-fog, was ready to throw on the helmet and go!
Awsome. Looks great. switches from gold to a slight red or maroon in some light which looks good to me. Also for really sunny days combined with the dropdown visor they really cut down the glare.
The Scorpion EXO-1100 / 500 Shield can be modified to fit the EXO-1000 helmet. You will need your old EXO-1000 Faceshield. You must remove the latch from the EXO-1100 shield and from your old EXO-1000 shield. You must then install your old EXO-1000 shield on the new EXO-1100 shield.
