SRX-900 vs SR-i900

I own both the SRX-900 and the SR-i900 by Scorpio, one on each bike. Because I have had excellent experience with the SR-i900, for the new bike I bought their latest version, the SRX-900.

The SRX-900 is a replacement for SR-i900, they look and function the same as each other with minor changes and differences, but completely different programming. So some parts with the remote and the central until does not work between each other. The other accessories, like the perimeter sensor and the immobilizer is cross compatible, so you can take the one from the old SR-i900 and put it on the SRX-900.

The SRX-900 has a slightly different harness and have integration ability with their "RLINK" system (which I do not have), so I don't know if it is the same as their "Rider Core" until.

In any case, the SRX-900 has a few flaws that seems to stem from a production problem, there are instances of false alarms with the shock sensor and the RFID remote's battery life is not as good as their SR-i900 version, which I have had for over about 4 years. So something changed or I just received a bad batch; going to get a replacement unit from Scorpio and see if I run into the same problem.

It is the best system I have found so far given the price of the item and the features I need; and the system has already saved me from losing my bike once while parked at my workplace. So the system has more than paid for itself.

Question: What's the difference between this alarm, the sr-I900, and the sr-I900r aside from the proximity alarm and ignition cut off?

Answer: There is much more information on the differences between these three systems than can be typed here, however I will provide the links to all three in which the description box on each page will show the pro's and con's of each system. Starting from cheapest to the sr-1900R.
