Great price and value

It’s not the same color as the pic the one I got was dark grey but still sharp. I bought it for a 97 rm 125 and it fit on perfect. 6 months later still running strong.

Great product for a great price.

Great product. I have no complaint over it. Have ordered this for over 15 bikes and always satisfied. Shiny and looks good too!

MSR Shifter

Works great, easy swap on my yz426f. Much better foot feel when shifting.

Great for the Price!

Got this for my 2001 YZ 250 after my previous shift lever bent. The new msr lever was shipped within a couple days and it fit perfectly and holds tight. It did come in a polished black color instead of the shiny aluminum color I was expecting from the picture, but I honestly ended up liking the black better. Has been holding up great so far, I'll update the review if anything happens. Pretty solid product for the price.

Thanks Motosport!

Great upgrade for the price!!!!

Another awesome product from MSR. I Have two of these one on a 2001 CR 250 and one on a 2004 KLX 110. the internal splines matched perfectly with the shift shafts on both bikes and the pinch bolt is a quality bolt and tightened very nicely. Just make sure you keep the spring inside the toe kick lubed up and this shifter will give you hours of reliability.

I purchased the Msr shift lever for my Yz85 04 and it fits perfect! Thanks Motosport.com

Excellent part quality

I bought this to replace a stripped aftermarket shifter I had recently purchased. This shifter is solid! The other shifter I purchased was much lighter which translated to a stripped out part in a short amount of time. In the future I will only purchase MSR aluminum shifters for all of my bikes (when/if needed). Buy with confidence.

It's a lever, that's all there is to it.

It's basically just a piece of metal. The only thing that separates this lever from another that might be a bit cheaper is that the tip on this lever can fold backwards so it should hold up better to crashing.

Q: Will this shifter be longer than my stock shifter in a 1996 cr125
Over 5 years ago
I have a 96 cr125 and i hve trouble with getting my boots under to shift so i was wondering of this shifter will be more extended out

A: These will come the same length as the OEM shifter for each model. Sometimes (depending on the model) you can turn the shifter up a few degrees when installing onto the splines of the shift shaft so it sits up higher to make it easier to reach underneath.

A: Probably not, I swapped this lever for the stock lever on a 2003 XR100, it didn't seem to be any longer. You could try removing your stock lever and rotating it up a few of the teeth where the lever mounts onto the shaft, although that might make downshifting slightly more cumbersome.

Q: How does the lever stay on? Does it have a screw cause in the pic there in none.

A: yes it does come with a screw that holds it on. i recommend you buy the steel shifter and not the aluminum. i had bought the aluminum shifter and after 10 minutes of riding it striped out and i couldnt shift gears.

A: The teeth grab onto the shaft that should still be on the bike when you take off the old lever, then you tighten the screw that's on the bottom, I want to say it's either a 6mm or 8mm hex head screw.

A: The one shown is just a general product picture so it may vary depending on what bike you have. It bolts on the same as stock, so however your stock one is, this one will bolt up the same way.

A: the little bolt thru the bottom of the lever locks in a grove on the shift shaft on the bike and some bikes have a different style than shown but the one in the pic is the norm.

A: Yes, there is a screw, just like the stock lever.
