Works great

Once I got it all hooked up it works great. Only problem is it only works on two lights. So if you want to hook up more then two LED turn signals you need to leave at least one pair of stock lights on your bike so they will work right.

Just lacking instructions

I have an 05 R6 and the relay worked perfectly with the LP LED signals. A quick search online and I found where the relay was located on my bike (under the seat) but it would have been nice if the relay came with instructions or a diagram for this purpose. Also, this relay isn't exactly like the factory one. The way it secures to the bike is different so I couldn't use the factory hold down.

2004 Yamaha R1

The relay works just as intended. I have the LED turn signals in the front as well as an LED (integrated) taillight in the back and with this relay installed I get the correct flash pulse without having to wire resistors to every light on the bike. this relay makes it really easy to fix by just removing the seat, plugging it in, and going for a ride.

Plug And Play

After all the c**p I've bought from many reputable dealers that didn't fit or work, it is a very pleasant change to find an item that fits (2002 Yamaha FZ1) without any unpleasant surprises and works just as was stated.

Installed Proton LED turn signals (with electronic resistance compensation) and they worked good but the stock rear turn signals were a little bit fast and out of sync. Quickly installed the Lockhart Phiillips LED relay and everything works as it should.

Good Price

Just as the other reviews say Great product, easy to install

Good budget LED flasher, but...

You may have to adapt it to your bike. Connector plugged right up, but my OEM flasher was 3-wire (had it's own ground), while the L-P unit's only got power in and flash feed out to the turn signals. This means that, as long as the indicator bulb was installed in the dash, I got 4-ways instead of blinkers with the switch on in either direction. Once I pulled the indicator bulb it worked fine, with a steady, normal flash rate. So as long as you're able to make it work with your OEM wiring, it's a great inexpensive solution.

Great product

Works well with Lockhart flush mount turn signals. Slows down the led lights back down to normal, flashes very fast without the relay

A: More than likely you have the polarity incorrect on your wiring at the turn signals. Remove one at a time to see if you can isolate the issue.

Q: Does this part get hot enough to melt anything.
I was told that this relay could possibly melt some of the plastic, because it gets real hot.

A: I have not heard anything like that. There shouldn't be a constant current running through this item. The purpose of this item is to reduce the current when the turn signal is in use.
Q: Do you have to buy resistors for turn signals if you change from incondesent to led lights, or can you just replace the flasher relay ?
